I think you need to redo this because Amanda tried suffocating Adam AFTER Dr. Gordon had slithered out of the bathroom. The shackle was on Adam's left leg originally, not his right. The only assumption you can make is that someone else's corpse was placed in that shackle later and someone removed Adam's body from the shackle.

In terms of the theory of Adam, I think it may be possible :
- Changing the foot of the chain.
- He could have played the comedy while Amanda kill him with a plastic bag
- He had a relationship with Amanda, so it may be possible that Amanda changes her mind at the last minutes before he died .. we can see her cry when she chokes and fall, so we can assume it has stopped

But liongsgate and twisted pictures would risk alot of money and fans in doing that. Sure there are unanswered questions, but many movies series are like that. - Changing the foot of the chain.
- He could have played the comedy while Amanda kill him with a plastic bag
- He had a relationship with Amanda, so it may be possible that Amanda changes her mind at the last minutes before he died .. we can see her cry when she chokes and fall, so we can assume it has stopped
