there are hidden caves in the woods where the coal board wants to dig. all these will go hundreds of years of history will go never to be replaced all for the sake off coal it is said that if it goes ahead there will be 4yrs of work for an amout of coal that will last the power statoin about 3months..
The woods with the rag trees and the spring are known to my friends and i as the hippy woods
the trees tied with rags are wishies tied to the tree the spring that you stop at is belived to be an ancient healing well dating back some 3/4 thousand years the early tribes that lived in the area at the time belived it had healing powers the romans used this site aswell.i may be mistaken but the trees have since bin set fire to by the coal people that are working up there.
