Awesome video bud it helped a lot and my sink is now inclogged. Only problem now is I can't get that rod for the stopper to stay secured with the rod you removed. It has a clip on the end, and I put it back on the way I saw it was on when I removed it, but more when I pull the stopper rod up/down the clip just slides. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
@fortoso2 Usually you can bend the clip outward (make it flatter) so that the two holes "bite" in to the rod better to keep it from slipping. Let me know if that does the trick.
@oldstock1607 There must a blockage in the main drain stack. You can attempt to run a plumbing snake down there (can buy online or locally) to break the clog free or you can call a plumber. If your home has older pipes—be extremely careful. Rough use of a snake can damage the drains.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, great video. Like the gentleman below I too am going to my bathroom and unclog my sink per your instructions. First though I'm gonna take a look and see what other vids you have posted. Thanks and please keep posting.
Very good video. My bathroom sink is running slow and I'm going to fix it following your instructions. One thing though, I seriously doubt that any guys, hell, even girls would be "grossed out" by watching how you go about cleaning the trap. Seeing a Pro do something is often very instructional in itself. Even something that's pretty obvious like cleaning. Thanks, great job!
@mil1982aooo You should test everything out after sealing it up by running some water from the faucet. This will make sure that there are no leaks and will also fill the P-trap to make sure that odors don't come back up through the pipes.
Video loads fine for me. Did not buffer one time just smooth streaming. Great video! I was so tired of always having to make an appointment for someone to come fix it for me! THANKS!
Too high camera resolution. Takes twice as long to download each few seconds of viewing time. And I have a high-speed cable connection with lots of RAM!
Thank you so much, Don! My finances aren't that great right now, and I was sick at heart thinking of incurring a plumbing bill. I was able to take everything apart, and it was grosser than anything you showed in the video. I cleaned it up, and put it back together. It leaked some, so I took it apart again and used teflon tape on the threads of the P-drain and the stopper, and it worked perfectly. Again, I can't thank you enough. My sink's fixed and I don't have to worry about the money!

What if your problem clearly isn't because of the P-trap?

Is that really why it's really called a P-trap? 'Cause Uncle Sal gave me another reason.
