@kittynommer Why are you tacking her in a stall? Perhaps she'd prefer to be outside in her natural enviornment. I'm no expert, but if it was me I would not saddle her, I would work on our relationship first. SHE OBVIOUSLY DOES NOT WANT A RIDE. bad red flag. seek advice
@WolfPatronus Notice how she isn't holding the lead rope tight, its up, over her arm and out of the way. She isn't gripping it, if he were to move away, it would slide.
why don't you watch the video from 0:38 - 0:50 then you might understand why she allows her horse to walk away and make mistakes. Linda has spent alot of time with this horse and she can trust him :)
@CRAZYHORSELOVER1000 I realize this, I was commenting back to wolf that she wasn't "gripping" the lead rope like his comment suggests, but has it draped over her arm, to be out of the way. I know exactly why she is doing what she is doing : )
Ummm how could i do this with a very girthy mare

I've always done this way... but I really appreciate that they make a video to show so many people what the right polite way to do is :)

What if we don't have the time to take a while during saddling?

Notice she has to hold the lead rope while she tightens the cinch! Oh well, I know how horses are when it comes to that....
