I like how Black Adam is a better hand to hand fighter than either Marvel or Supes. Billy's lack of talent is understandable, as he's only been a superhero for five minutes.
With Superman, it's his lack of martial training that makes fights with other super-powered being interesting, mostly, he's used to hammering something until it drops. If he were ever to go up against someone like Green Arrow, Batman or Wildcat in a depowered state just fist-to-fist, he'd lose.
@Apollomasque Well obviously Batman's human, just looking at what Superman could do with the strength he has makes him exponentially stronger than any of them. If you think about it, a small jab from Supes should be enough to take almost all of them down. Superman always has to keep himself in check, making sure to keep everyone around him safe.

Superman's weaknesses are: Magic, mental powers, Krytonite (of course) and any power that is greater than his own (which due to his being depowered in the 80's is a lot more common than it used to be). He's not unbeatable and all powerful anymore.
@LibraGamesUnlimited I would never admit to him being unbeatable, otherwise, you'd tend to be calling him a god and I've heard him being watered down for barely surviving his scrapes with Darkseid. I also know that with the past of Green Lanterns, their only weakness was eliminated. I am just ironic because I admire Captain Marvel whom literally is a god but the mindset of a child. I just guess that I wish others would see things for what they are without crying foul.

@LibraGamesUnlimited That's true, I do compare Batman to Sherlock Holmes but that's kind of within reason since he is the Sherlock of the group. It's also the fact that Cap. Marvel is a kid that makes him my favorite. Through it all he is a demi-god since those are granted powers. He is still a kid and with that. He's the most flawed there is. he's innocent and inexperienced but all that does it make him easier to relate to.

The fact that he actively speaks like a child tells me that 'The Wisdom of Solomon' is more like insight and it kicks in when he's really focusing on something. I have noticed that they choose 80's childhood stars for him as well. In DCAU it was Jerry O'Conell and Young Justice he's Rob Lowe.

@paradyneT101 Billy Batson is mortal, yes. I said that. I explained that 'technically' he's a god. Because when he is Cap he has the powers of Zeus, Mercury, Hercules, Achilles, and Atlas. They are known as Greek Gods if not Demigods. When he is Cap, he does have those powers and theoretically is the amalgamation of those gods combined. King Solomon wasn't a god, He was a mortal. I still only said it based on that revelation. I had my own reasons to relate to him and not dissing.

In fact one was in the works but was scrapped when "Speed Racer" tanked becasue it, apprenlty, had the same family friendly tone and they thought since that movie failed there wasn't a market for such things. Personally, I think the movie should strattle the line between family friendly and modern super hero action. A hard line to walk to be sure.

@paradyneT101 Thing is Cap has always been played as sunny and childlike so I don't know if putting him in a dark and gritty setting would really work. I mean it COULD it could be a nice juxtiposition having him be all sunny and optimistic despite everything OR it could turn out like the "Brady Bunch" movies. That's the real issue with a Captain Marvel movie is walking that fine line so you don't ruin the character by making him something he's not
@aoinatafanboy84 Magic isn't really a weakness but a vulnerability, he still has some resistence to it unlike Kryptonite or Red Sun light. If he didn't then those lightning blasts would have killed him on the spot instead of just hurting like hell.
@Fenris30 - generally I agree with that but "weakness" and "vulnerability" are exactly the same thing - it would be more accurate to say he's less vulnerable to magic than the other things you mentioned.

@aoinatafanboy84 Yeah, I think the weakness to magic is not as well known outside the comics. Superman's weaknesses are: Magic, mental powers, Krytonite (of course) and any power that is greater than his own (which due to his being depowered in the 80's is a lot more common than it used to be). He's not unbeatable and all powerful anymore.

@LibraGamesUnlimited I would never admit to him being unbeatable, otherwise, you'd tend to be calling him a god and I've heard him being watered down for barely surviving his scrapes with Darkseid. I also know that with the past of Green Lanterns, their only weakness was eliminated. I am just ironic because I admire Captain Marvel whom literally is a god but the mindset of a child. I just guess that I wish others would see things for what they are without crying foul.

@aoinatafanboy84 Yeah, there is a tendency to put characters you like on a pestial. People who like Batman see him as unbeatable by anyone (even the likes of Darkseid), thoes who like Superman see him the same (and he was back in the day). You're right Cap is technically a god (or at least a demi-god) so that should trump all. :)

@LibraGamesUnlimited That's true, I do compare Batman to Sherlock Holmes but that's kind of within reason since he is the Sherlock of the group. It's also the fact that Cap. Marvel is a kid that makes him my favorite. Through it all he is a demi-god since those are granted powers. He is still a kid and with that. He's the most flawed there is. he's innocent and inexperienced but all that does it make him easier to relate to.

The fact that he actively speaks like a child tells me that 'The Wisdom of Solomon' is more like insight and it kicks in when he's really focusing on something. I have noticed that they choose 80's childhood stars for him as well. In DCAU it was Jerry O'Conell and Young Justice he's Rob Lowe.

@aoinatafanboy84 Yeah it's more like say the database in the Green Lantern Power Ring it only tells you things when you ask or need to know them. Yeah I like Jerry so it was fun hearing him as Cap. Gotta say I didn't realize it was Rob Lowe in Young Justice but I'm gonna be looking up clips to hear it for myself ASAP. :)

@SnowyWolborg Yeah that's the joke. The actual Young Justice team members see an adult who acts like a younger kid than they are when in reality he IS a younger kid than they are. It's kinda like in "Justice League" when he was like a gushing fan around the other heroes (especially Superman) that is until they had that falling out over trusting Lex or not.

@paradyneT101 Billy Batson is mortal, yes. I said that. I explained that 'technically' he's a god. Because when he is Cap he has the powers of Zeus, Mercury, Hercules, Achilles, and Atlas. They are known as Greek Gods if not Demigods. When he is Cap, he does have those powers and theoretically is the amalgamation of those gods combined. King Solomon wasn't a god, He was a mortal. I still only said it based on that revelation. I had my own reasons to relate to him and not dissing.

In fact one was in the works but was scrapped when "Speed Racer" tanked becasue it, apprenlty, had the same family friendly tone and they thought since that movie failed there wasn't a market for such things. Personally, I think the movie should strattle the line between family friendly and modern super hero action. A hard line to walk to be sure.

@paradyneT101 Thing is Cap has always been played as sunny and childlike so I don't know if putting him in a dark and gritty setting would really work. I mean it COULD it could be a nice juxtiposition having him be all sunny and optimistic despite everything OR it could turn out like the "Brady Bunch" movies. That's the real issue with a Captain Marvel movie is walking that fine line so you don't ruin the character by making him something he's not

@aoinatafanboy84 Magic isn't really a weakness but a vulnerability, he still has some resistence to it unlike Kryptonite or Red Sun light. If he didn't then those lightning blasts would have killed him on the spot instead of just hurting like hell.

He just wanted him to see that its not gonna go anywhere and hope that he will just mentally get over it or tire out. You should know Superman doesnt like to hurt ppl or ever want to kill them. So he does everything he can before the fight reaches a critical level. Superman really wasnt even worn out & if Adam was really hurting him he could have fought alot harder.

In this cartoon Black Adam represents the black man. Superman and Shazam represent the White power structure in America. It took both Superman and Shazam to beat Black Adam. It shows that whites must work together to keep black people oppressed. That way black people can never be given a chance to be liberated. There are many messages in cartoons but most people never catch them.

Incorrect...Superman is universal...his biology...is kryptonian...the kryptonians...were very scientific in there study/research of other civilizations...so supermans make up is a natural biology...from the sun but definitely universal.. Magic has no principles...makes no sense-unpredictable. Shazam or Capt. Marvel is just using unpredictable magic...he's very beatable...as you already know...Superman is constantly holding back...I would think that is the case here.

Timothy Daly the voice actor who voiced, Superman in the 1997 Superman:The Animated Series, was in Justice League, Justice League:Unlimited, and voiced Supes in Superman/Batman:Apocalypse does a fantastic job in this blockbuster action-adventure film. Tim Daly should voice Superman in Rocksteady's upcoming Superman revision after the Batman:Arkham Asylum, and Batman:Arkham City games with Kevin Conroy's voice for Batman.
