I don't know why, but I just noticed that the bird flying above Spyro and Gill Grunt is actually Sunburn, the phoenix-dragon hybrid that I really want as my second Fire Skylander. I want: Dark Spyro (Magic) Drobot (Tech) Slam Bam (Water) Cynder (Undead) Hex (Undead) Sunburn (Fire) Sonic Boom (Air) Lightning Rod (Air) Bash (Earth) Terrafin (Earth) Camo (Life) Stealth Elf (Life) I only have Spyro, Trigger Happy, Gill Grunt, and Eruptor. Yes, spyro looks different but it's also a different spyro!

Skylanders is set in a different dimension so all the characters like cynder and spyro aren't the actual cynder and spyro. That also explains why the sparx dragonfly is an object rather than a living entity

Yes there is a difference between the 3DS version and console versions (Wii, PS3, 360, PC). Hektore is the main antagonist in the 3Ds version, while Kaos is the evil villain in the console versions of Skylanders.

The 2 versions also play very differently, the console versions allow you to upgrade your Syklanders with the gold you find in game, while the 3DS Version gives you upgrades at a certain level, you can also jump in the 3DS version and every character has a dash. The 2 versions are very different.

No Camo himself is seen in the trailer as a glimpse when Spyro flies in breathing fire. That's a different Skylander, a lot of fans get confused by speculating that the Chinese Dragon Skylander could be 'a early design of a dragon Skylander'.

Spyro's voice? Awesome. I thought it would take me a while, getting used to a voice for Spyro other than Elijah Wood, but this is just too good! And Cynder and Dark Spyro getting a different version for this universe? The makers of this game are just too kind.

My only gripe? This isn't the extended version, so Cynder doesn't show up. Shame, but I guess it can't be helped. Thanks, CB!

In the directores cut, gill grunt is nocked down and almost killed by the axe-holding cyclops, but is saved by cynder, and I quote "Oh, no you don't!" and flies away with the cyclops.

I know that 'character design makes a whole game good' does that to a lot of people. But in the process they're missing the whole point and are only judging the game by character designs and nothing more. They never played it, they just judged it on the littlest of details.

In this case, they shouldn't have made Spyro look as if someone sat on his face. You should sort of understand why, in this situation, people hate this game without even trying it out. Like I said, they did destroy a childhood character.

But you're also missing the point that this Spyro isn't suppose to be the same Spyro those nostalgia-hoarding Spyro fans desire so badly, he's not going to look exactly the same for the rest of his franchise life. The Spyro, in Skylanders, was created for children, the new target audience of Skylanders who don't know how to complain about every little detail and whine their heads off like it's the end of the world.

You know this was the trailer that finally broke me. THIS. IS. FANTASTIC. This is from somebody who wasn't satisfied from The Legend Of Spyro games, and much preferred the original trilogy. From my point of view, this was a brilliant trailer that encompassed the great humor of the originals yet updating it to fit LoS audiences (Cinder I believe was included) and new players. Kudos to the production team, except character design, his redesign still sucks.

Criticism or not, this is a great marketing strategy. Digimon and Pokemon miniatures were major crazes, not to mention the success of Gormiti. Now take that idea, and make it with a video game, one of the biggest moneymakers these days.
