  • Good Day!!! Sir do you have website??? i love underwater welder.. but i dont have fund for that.. sir do you have some scholarship or teach now pay later hehehehe.. im from Philippines lots of good welder here but i want to be different from them... just wondering... i know you have a good HEART..... tnx a lot... :-)

  • @JOEBATS1314 We do have a website but YouTube won't allow web address in comments. You can view our other videos, the web address is posted at the end. There is not alot of funding available or scholarship schemes, most commercial diving students pay for themselves to go through the training. The earning potential is good once you start working (approx 75% of our students are working withing 3 mths of leaving the course). A trade like welding will help you a lot as a commercial diver

  • Hi - I am 36 next March. I've had a few mundane office based jobs and for the last 10 years (!) I've been looking at your website thinking 'should I do it, should I do it'.... In your opinion am I now to old to start on this career path ?? Would a remote operated vehicle course be a better bet? Thanks very much

  • @s1914 31% of our air diving students are age 35-45 (44% are age 18-25 and 25% are age 25-35), so to answer your question, no you're not too old. The average age of a diver in the North Sea at the moment is about 45. A lot of the time your extra life experience will also stand you in good stead when you start out as a commercial diver. If you're unsure whether commercial diving is the career for you its worth doing our Introductory Day , get in touch if you'd like more info

  • If only I had the £13,000 for the course!

  • Hi Juki, Now is a good time to be getting into commercial diving, the industry is cyclical so has busy periods and quieter periods - at the moment we're just going into one of the busy periods. We've been surveying our past students and so far the average earnings for the first year are £25,949, which at the moment is about US$40,215. If you'd like some more information then get in touch via info@theunderwatercentre.co.uk

  • I am interested in taking Commercial diving as my career path. I understand all of the dangers and I am confident that I can do the required tasks...The only thing holding me back is the availability of jobs after graduation,.. what is the job market like lately? And can people still make USD 40k to 70K on their first year?

  • awesome !

  • cool video man, wish i had the funds to do this training.

  • @rangerwingman ...and the funds to see you through the resulting years of unemployment?
