To say only guitar, bass, vocals, and drums is pure rock and roll is to be pretty closed minded musically. A piano, hell, even a banjo can be an integral part of rock and roll under the right circumstances. And yes, rock and roll pretty much started with what I would say are the basic essentials (bass, drums, vocals, and guitar), but it also was way different than pearl jam and other bands of their era. Rock and roll evolves...

It's not boo'ing, it's BOOM'ing, to Boom Gaspard, the guy playing the piano & synth :-) It was my 3rd PJ concert and definitely the best so far! Going to see them again tomorrow in Mansfield!

there were some ppl booing the piano guy off cuz at the end of the song, Eddie said "New York City just boo'd this song." Even in the next song that follows as soon as piano starts, ppl started booing again. But of course their boo is quickly engulfed by thunderous cheers!!!!
