  • why someone dislike this music?

  • fantastic soundtrack, fantastic movie!!!

  • @IxHasxAxBagel you're watching good movies bud, keep it up

  • @MCRxRevenge I agree

  • @ubergypsy89...me too :)

  • You know I do think sometimes if I could go do what he did, without the bad ending of course, I totally would.

  • @ubergypsy89 I think everyone gets that idea while watching this movie, but what really resonated with me throughout the movie is the phrase "happiness is only real when shared"

  • Great song

  • Poesia per l'Anima.

  • Great song love it

    From London ....Hey ALL

  • extremes. always leading us to the same place

  • dire che è bella è poco penso che il ritmo sia fantastico. i nirvana sono gli unii alla pari

  • Chris died because he committed the same mistake as his father had; he didn't listen to the voice inside. He lefted all behind not responding to the love he could construct with his parents. He walked aways from the problems; he walked away from happiness, I really love this movie and songs, Eddie Vedder is great! Sean Penn Is great!

  • Hell Yeah live your life the way you wanted screw bad careers, people, or life. Live your life like Christopher did the way you will love it!

  • This is my fav show, can't wait until it is back I just caught up online at seevstreaming (.) com

  • There's a big

    A big hard sun

    beautiful, true song!

  • the face of the movie

  • tanto bello quanto profondo.....mette i brividi se guardato col giusto spirito....

  • Excellent cover, but I still like the original

  • @Gord488

    Dude! This is the original....

  • @Fitzcarraldo87 Dude! It isnt! The song came out around 1989 or 90, by a guy called Indio. Reason I know this is, I recorded it off the radio on cassete, a commen practise back then between hauling water and hunting wooly mammoths. And if you had checked on Google you would know all this.

  • mi piace moltissimo la canzone e mi piace da morire eddie vedder

  • mi piace molto la canzone ma chi mi piace di piu è eddie vedder...

  • what a fantastic song

  • Such an awesome and deep song....absolutely love the song and the movie is great!!

  • INTO THE WILD is my favourite film!!!!! i love it more than anything else :D into the wild should get an oscar !!!1

  • Wow! It gives me gosebumps!

  • Freedom..!!

  • Amen brotha, story of my life...long live freedom...

  • @pissingonpoliticians

This film is inspirational. So is the story of Chris McCandless. It's just a pity and enormous bad luck that he didn't make it OUT of the Wild. Chris made it thru the cold, the water, the rocks, wild animals, hunger... And was killed by some red wild berries. That is just wicked. That's how Nature is: marvellous and mean.

  • @ezekielwahwah The story, the song, the situation...is all inspirational. Two hundred years ago there were countless unknown, and untold stories of a similar vision and love. Some were smart or strong enough, or lucky enough to befriend a native to teach before the harsh weather and hunger took it's toll. Others, like McCandless...not so lucky, or prepared. I guess the real point is...he found it. He didn't live it as long as our age would have liked, but he found it. That's all that matters.

  • Now THAT's freedom! Bless him.......

  • sun is soooo.. hard

  • This movie and soundtracks really reach deep down my soul. I listen to its soundtrack every time I need a "soulshine". :-)

  • ... music is only true when shared and its soul is wildest when lived - love it so much!!!!!!!! ...

  • GINGER!

  • This is a great song, anyone else notice the similarity to Rusted Root?

  • Score One for the Root!

Nice to see you mention them here.

    (I live in Pittsburgh.)

  • perfect movie..perfect actor..perfect director...perfect soundtrack...and perfect singer!!LOVE EDDIE..

  • Totally agree. Perfect everything associated with this movie. Eddie Vedder is a genius.

  • What an amazing song! Nice job Eddie

  • wtf cares the guy did what he wanted to do in life whats wrong with that

  • you are all yelling and cussing at telmimh because he expressed an opinion. wether you agree with it or not its his right to express and opinion. personally i think there is a healthy and accurate medium between telmimh's view and the perspective apparently common between the rest of you and that is this: He pursued his dreams and greatest ambition, an action every one can agree is admirable. On the other hand he was foolish in not planning it out, come on people we can all agree about that to

  • did you even watch the movie telmimh he just wasnt meant for civilization and he hated his parents when his mom met his dad he was married with kids already

  • I think that you all missed the point

  • Arguing on the internet is pretty much like paraolympics. Doesent matter if you win or loose, your still a retard. Grab a beer and just sit and relax, thats what Im doin atm

  • Agreed. Totally.

  • Hi folks, can anyone direct me towards similar songs to Hard Sun? (Non Ediie Vedder ones) I absolutely love it. It's a perfect "road trip" song. Thanks

  • I love this movie. I watch it so many time that i cansay the lyrics while i'm watching it again. the music work so perfectly with every scene . this song is my favorite

im obsessed with christopher mccandless. its sad that he died .. but im sure his life worth it. :)

  • I love the concept of this Film! Based on true life is ieven better! And Eddie vedder doing the soundtrack makes it one of the most moving movies i've seen in a long time.

  • No you're an idiot, he learned that happiness is better shared, you obviously learned nothing.

  • me? an idiot? i'm not the one who expected to survive in the alaskan back-country by foraging wild edibles. he failed miserably in that regard, ya know, since hes fucking dead. i say he should have stayed with the hippies and cruised the country where he was sharing happiness with others with whom he felt a connection. hes an idiot. oh, and so are you. go eat a wild tuber and fucking die. twat.

  • he survived for six weeks before he ate a poisionous wild potato, which, in his book, wasnt marked as poisionous

i think you should get all your facts before making an opinion..

but the world is a free place! youre free to be so sutipd as ar as im concerned

  • one cannot hope to simply survive, let alone live, on wild edibles that may or may not be safe for human consumption. sure, he made an effort to achieve his dream of living in the wild away from the ties of society, but there was no plan, no goal other than to escape. was he really happier out there? where were his plans for future sustainability? its ok to walk around the world with your head in the clouds, but sometimes you have to stop and take account of what may lay in the road ahead.

  • i never said that he planned it out well - i just think its admirable at least trying to fulfil your dreams

and generally, i think its pointless and pretty inconsiderate to call him "fucking dead" or "idiot" - its just disrespectful, especially because, idiot or not, his family is missing him terribly

  • from fact less and stupid to disrespectful to the dead. interesting.

  • Slow down kid and get that sand out of your vagina. He was an Emory grad, he was no fucking idiot, and certainly not some hot headed cunt like you. If he stayed with the hippies his parents would be unhappy in turn, it was a vicious cycle. He may have been slightly deranged and sadistic towards his materialistic selfish parents though, which is natural. Who gives a flying fuck anyways? And why are you trolling this page like a dirty grundel?

PS Are you british?? Who the fuck says "twat"?

  • sorry, am i going to fast for you? he graduated from college? big deal, so did bush. i think we're all aware what an idiot he is. how would his parents have been any happier if he wasn't with the hippies? did they know where he was? did he care? in any case, i'm pretty sure they'd rather know he's alive bumming around with hippies instead of rotting in the ground. wait, being deranged and sadistic is natural? thanks for giving me another stupid comment to reply to.

    PS you spelled grundle wrong.

  • Being sadistic: towards terrible parents is natural, not, being deranged is natural. I say he went to a good college to remind you that he was in full capacity of his mental state. He was trying to challenge himself and be away from his parents, he just happened to eat the wrong bean. He wasn't an idiot, he was merely ill prepared to be in the wild.

And since you're gonna whore grammer/spelling, i'd like to point out that you spelled "too" wrong, maybe you're going too fast for yourself.

  • haha, i didn't have any characters to spare. i wasn't trying to be a grammar nazi, i just happen to be very defensive of grundles. my whole point is that he was horribly unprepared. it's like he didn't even think his idea through. he just up and decided to go bum around the back country without any sort of training or plan. in my opinion, that makes him an idiot. a suicidal idiot. he could have left as soon as he started running low on his meager rations, but he didn't. what did he expect?

  • i thought that was called natural selection?

  • whell appearently he hasn't. You're still here.

  • his passion was adventure... yours is music, use r different, but the same... savvy?

  • just because he was an emory grad does not make him smart i dont care if you know all the info in the world if you dont know how to put it to use youre just as stupid as the rest of us

  • sad ending for this movie.

  • loves this

  • i know :(

  • Thia was a good song for the movie.

  • this is the most beautiful movie ive ever seen in my whole life, and this song is so perfect

  • Honestly, how can this not get an Oscar nod :-(

  • @mweghorrt Good movie, but not oscar worthy. Overall it felt a little "preachy" to me. The only oscar worthy part was the relationship between chris and the old man. That was very moving. I love this song though!

  • @hofner20 It's a long time ago, but I think I was actually talking about a nomination for best song ;-)

  • @hofner20 I think that Penn portrayed the message of the book very well. If it was preachy to you instead of moving, i feel like you're confused my friend.

  • beautiful song, beautiful movie

  • AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING!!!
