  • Great vids... Thanks.

  • What size inner tube did you use to make that bag?

  • Love these - really like the dip beneath the bar!

  • what would be a good start out weight and what size inner tube would best be used for the weight? i am very much a beginner and need to get into better shape, cardio to match .

  • Great video man. I'm going out tomorrow to get the stuff to make this. Amazing improvisation. Subscribed and subscribed to your newsletter. Great videos, keep up the good work.

  • @sterilezombie thanks for supporting and the kind words!

  • Excellent improvisation Joe. How much would you say a truck or skid steer inner tube filled with wood pellets weighs?

  • @qontranami Skid steer tires are perfect, usually in the 40-55 lb range depending on how much you cut out.

  • @jhashey Thanks, Joe.

  • Sweet vid man. I'm too broke for a gym membership and I don't have space for a weight set. I'm definitely making this. Thanks a lot.

  • How long do you train each time, and how long is good. I do about 6 exercises (5 reps per exercises) then repete for 15 min (amrap). I need some help here

  • awesome stuff man. i'm just getting into it myself

  • At first I was thinking "What the hell is that thing and why use it?"

By the end of the video I was sold.

    Thanks.

  • how about it's stability? I'm just thinking the inner tube needs one little cut and I'm spreading sand all over my room...or maybe if I use two tubes??

any suggestions would be appreciated... oh and I almost forgot to say thank you for this great suggestion

  • this sounds like a great exercise for my m.a conditioning and even biulding strenght. My weight workouts are great, but don't prepare me or get me conditioned for certain things. Besides, i've had never heard of this, thanks so much for showing those of us who can't find one how to make it for cheap. I subbed, seems like i'll have a lot of surfing to do. Have a nice day.

  • excellent but the guy isn't breathing right when he trains... he holds in his breath and breathes in when he should be breathing out

  • So would it make sense to train with my bBag on my off days? I train 3x week so I would use the bags 2x week (I always rest on weekends). It does look pretty intense though, would it be too much? Is this thought to be a main training exercise, or only complementary?

  • Thanks Joe for REAL training methods that work! Some of us arent just trying to look good but ACTUALLY use our bodies for sports etc...!

Joe i want to make one and i am about 150 lbs and 5-8.

what type of filler should i use??????

    THanks your stuff is inspirational!!

  • @jnash120 Thanks for the kind words! I'm a big fan of the pellets, the sand gets messy. If you can get a big inner tube (truck at least or skid steer), you will be all set.

  • Jesus Christ, what a shit!

  • I made my bBag today. I used about 16-17kg of sand which I stuffed in 27 individual bags and then wrapped them with a bit of cotton and tape to make the feeling a bit better. I also put some cotton at the inner section of the tube at the edges to minimize sand leakage. turned out awesome. I am now thinking of adding straps and tennis racket grips at the grips. What do you think Joe?

    BTW, awesome vid, cheers!

  • Wicked vids mate. Inspiring stuff.

  • I like this dude. Shows great ways too incorporate true strength training without breaking your bank! Keep up the great work brother and thanks for taking the time to teach us how to make these!

  • @methodtraining no problem, thanks for checking it out and commenting!

  • I want your garage.

  • Ha! Working out to Pink Floyd... I love it!

  • I love this VID! I train a lot outside!!! and this is such an inexpensive and effective workout!!! Love it:) thanks for sharing

  • Hi thanks for posting this video, it is very inspiring, looking forward to make my own!

  • Heyo Joe,

I think you video is great, and I thank you for posting it. I had never heard of this training device before I saw your vid. I will make one manana!

Good stuff, and you are one big strong guy!

  • @johngo6283 Thanks! Let me know how it goes and good luck!

  • Two words; Bad Ass

  • thanks a lot, just made mt first Bulgarian Training Bag today and will start jamming it tomorrow, ill report back on how it goes, its about 10kg might be to light only time will tell.

  • Chevelle !!! =)

  • WOW ! Thats intense ! Am off to make mine right now , just one question, what are the baseball balls for ( from vid no1) ?

  • @madzaxos62 I was wondering that too.. can imagine maybe using them to put them inside the tires at the ends and then close those ends again, so you get easier to hold handles at the end.

  • this is very affective training great to see back to basics and none of this bullshit you usually see on training vids.we are just about to start with the bags and was great to see home made ones, its the first home made i have seen with handles hats off to ya.

  • Cheers mate, Youtube is usually packed with wannabees that have done their 3 day YMCA Fitness Instructors course and bore the shit out of you with health and safety and "ok, lets do 3 sets of 10 push ups." But this is the bollocks (as we say in England).

    Well done!

  • @24878151 Thanks, that means a lot! I know exactly what you mean with the "fly by night" trainers. Enjoy your training. - Joe

  • could you post the tube sizes that you used to make various bulgarian bags? thakns

  • wow this is good stuff! thanks for puttin this all together

  • Brother thank you very much for posting I heard about Bulgarian training and cames accross 2 bulgarian dudes and man they were like monsters.. I do not know if your technique is actually from Bulgaria :-)... Man thank you once again for posting this economic way to train with intencity ! thums up !!!

  • @dc003864 thanks for checking it out and commenting!

  • wow thats a new chalange for me thank you so much

  • Man you are great , thanks a lot for posting

  • @emado4ever thanks! I appreciate you checking it out!

  • Super exercises. I am headed down to the walmart to pick up stuff and get on my b. bag. I do a lot of core/bodyweight but this looks like a great way to hit hard on some of my weak points. I was curious how the baseballs and grommets are used in the first video (how to make-sitting on bench), I didn't see it assembled in the second...

    Thanks. Awesome!

  • @humanchewtoy Great question - I decided to leave it out because some people thought the videos were too long. I used the baseballs to make a handle on the backside, much like I did with the plastic pipe. The balls were much harder to grip (eye bolt through the ball, cloth around the back with the gromments to hook on to it.)

    Thanks for bringing that up!

    Joe

  • A group of us get together in a park near my house on Saturdays for Caveman/dinosaur style workouts with kegs, tires, sledgehammers, slosh pipes, sandbags etc.. Saw your videos and now have made a BTB for the sessions. We have a sand volleyball court that we use to carry the BTB on our shoulders doing presses as we run through it. Strengthens the ankles and works your core and cardio like nothing else. Thanks for the great tips!!!

  • @randywolken no problem thanks for commenting! Sounds like a great workout group - what town is that in?

  • @jhashey We are in Flower Mound TX. We are growing larger every week. At first, we ran a lot of folks off. Trainers at my gym thought that they would come out, but I have not seen them since and they seem to always be busy now! ha ha

  • thanks for your reply, jlashley...great stuff! What size tire do you use in this video? Keep it up!!

  • @Kenny1968 no problem - I don't know the exact size, I think it was a skid steer tire - we got them free from a tractor/truck place.

  • Why are there a lot of things in fitness called Bulgarian? Bulgarian dead-lift, Bulgarian squat, Bulgarian bag, Bulgarian this and that. Are Bulgarians generally fit?

  • Thanks Joe! Followed your instructions Made 20, 30 and 40 pound bags today. I've been using Kettlebells and Macebells for 3 years this took it to another level! Good stuff man Good Stuff!!!!

  • @txturbo930 Thanks for the follow up message! I'm glad it worked out - everything you listed are amazing training tools. - Joe

  • Great video.. I have a 53 pound bag that moves ALOT differently than that. and the olympic team x large bag is 50.. I',m not saying your lying about weight but maybe your mistaken? I had to fill mine with sand and didnt have enough space so I added two 5 pound lead diving weights. You did your with wood pellets? It seems like they would be less dense than sand?

  • @Kenny1968 Thanks for checking out the video Kenny! After experimenting with fillers, we settled on sand "bricks" (sand in freezer bags wrapped in tape) centered in the bag and wood pellets fit around it. I weighed it in last week after some leaking and packing it was 47 lbs. I haven't used an oly team xl so I can't say how they move. Enjoy the training! Joe

  • Another solid vid. How do u usually put together your circuits? By time, reps etc.?

  • @02footballer We use both time and reps equally - or as many reps as possible in a given time in a "contest" with the other lifters.

    Thanks for the comment!

    Joe

  • This is just great! I made one last week and totaly addicted. Even without the handles you can have a mad workout. Jump squats, Good mornings, Power snatches and bicep curls are some of my fabs. Thanks for sharing bro:-)

  • @desichele30 no problem! I was the same way after I made mine.

  • Looks like it will work you to the core! Thanks for sharing!

  • that... thing is so great, thanks man. very inspiring vids, as usual

  • @Korvtele ha, thanks for checking it out and sharing the video!

  • As always... killer vid. Rock solid workout and drills! Thanks for posting!

  • @ignitestrength Thanks for the comments and checking it out!

  • Which weight do you use in the video?

  • @clubberdurden That is a 40 to 50 lb bag - works great for the complexes.

  • wow dude, thanks........ Its like saying "old is gold," Now i know wat i need. The Bulgarian Bag.

  • @authenticalexful No problem, thanks for checking it out!

  • Thanks for the tips men, i will suscribe for some circuits

  • @Ber76 No problem Ben! I did put the first circuit out (I dont think I can link here, but its on my video list). I'll get another out shortly.

  • Why don´t you put names on the moviments? That´s would be very helpfull.

Anyway it´s a awsome video. I make a bag for me with your tutorial and works very nive. Thanks a lot!

  • @Thusnildon thanks for the suggestion about the names. I'll try to include that with some new videos I am working on. Good luck with making one, they are great!

  • Fantastic video thanks

  • Fantastic i bought a tube from tubesandtyres on the web uk site came next day and now use all the time

  • how much do the sand bag and wood pellet ones weight?

  • @ninjasownpirates it will vary based on the tube length, width, how much you cut off etc, but that one is around 45-55 lbs

  • Why the hell haven't I seen these things before now?! This has to be the most versatile piece of training equipment ever and it's so simple. Thanks for taking the time to make this video dude, it's awesome. 5 stars.

  • @ctg123321 No problem! I'm glad you found it useful. Its an awesome tool for training at home - I use them almost every day now.

  • Great video! Thank you!

  • @ChrisAnt Thanks for the comment! - Joe

  • Dying to make a few of these bad boys!! awesome Video!!!

  • awesome...thanx for the vid...

  • Great stuff keep them coming. I like the pushup exercise.

  • A question : what does this bag do ....???

  • It adds weight and resistance to the exercises. External loading is an effective way to cause the body to adapt and become stronger. Depending how it is used it can increase flexibility, strength, muscular endurance, and stabilization. Its another tool that can be inexpensively added to your training equipment. - Joe

  • They get your body moving and no matter what you're using for weight, that is a GOOD thing. excellent for your core and stabilizers.

  • As a fitness enthusiast, I must say that this is beautiful. Great workout and five stars.

  • @rocafeler07

it turns meer mortal wrestlers into FUCKING GODS for those who use it to the fullest to push there bodies to the very limit of there endurance of mind and body. THAT"S WHAT IT DOES DAMN IT!!

  • You made me want to make several. I'll get the material tommorrow, will start next week. Doing some Bodyweight Exercises now to recover from the Holidays. Thanks for the instructionals.
