ON TOPIC, looks like an entertaining movie. I think people who go to watch any movie based on a comic book character expecting oscar award winning writing should seriously consider their film taste.
@TheJojojoye They're starting with the original Green Lantern (Hal Jordan, not Allan Scott) who was Caucasian. Perhaps if there's a sequel or it becomes a trilogy, then they'll bring in other Green Lanterns like John Stewart (the black one that's on most Justice League cartoons).

Seems like their sticking close to the Secret Origins. This is great news. The suit looks great even though there are no white gloves. They could have at least made the hands and forearms have a particular glow to make it seem as if he's wearing gloves. Based on the footage, I like how Campbell is approaching the film. Ryan Reynolds could pull off Hal Jordan's cocky, light-hearted, act-first think later attitude. He looks exceptionally cool at 2:05
I don't know what to think, Martin Campbell is a more than capable filmmaker but even though I'm convinced of his brilliance I'm not entirely convinced that Van Wilder was the right choice to play Hal Jordan. We'll see....

Why did they seem to film/direct any non-cgi portions with full-throttle cheese? Reynolds has the abs but not the acting chops to pull off anything but the lightest of comedies. Sigh... I much prefer the artificial fan-made trailer.

Maybe they should of set the release date for 2012 and spent the majority of 2011 in post production. Plus i can't take Ryan Reyonalds seriously - His face is in a constant comedic state, therefore there is no differance between comedy and serious.
i dont know why, but i'm just not feeling it. I honestly thought this was a movie made by Marvel, until I remembered green lantern is part of the DC universe. i think blake lively is really gonna ruin this for me. guess i'll just have to wait until the movie comes out.
