This car isnt ugly at all, I think it's awesome, the suspension is superb, it can handle potholes and all you think you hit is maybe a squirrel, overall it's great
I love this car!!!! It is actually gorgeous in person. The designers of this car were actually thinking out of the box for a change.The ride is super quiet and smooth. The interior is very luxurious - awesome leather, padded dash, burled wood trim. The controls are simple to learn and use, well labeled and easily accessed. Incredibly well built car inside and out.The air conditioner is best I have ever seen. Has all of the bells and whistles anyone could want. Bought one, LOVE IT!!!!!
I test drove a EX-L yesterday (7/25) and loved it!!! I had a ball for the few minutes I drove it!! Between the looks of the Crosstour and the fact that Honda has a great reliability record, I plan on buying one at the beginning of the year. Plenty of power and the cargo room is acquitted for some one like me who does a lot of grocery shopping..My only complaint is the rear blind spots.
I own a Crosstour with the gps package and I personally love the car and so do all the friends I drive in it with. They are seated comfortably and the drive is smooth. I actually think the Venza looks awful and not really an adult vehicle.
i own this car, and im telling you it is MUCH nicer than i Toyota Venza, this car isnt made for storage, its just a very fierce looking car, ill admit the color they tested is awful, i own the opiate EX-L AWD, its 0-60 is acutally sub 7 seconds with AWD, and yes it VERY quite. i think my car is amazing, people who i pick up lovee it and wish they got it instead of their accord. and this guy is soo wrong, at 3000rpm you can feel the pull, its actually quite incredible for such a heavy car.

I own a Crosstour and I think its great...its not ugly its unique. Its quiet responsive and I get great gas mileage. Its a shame this car gets compared to the Venza...its sooo much sportier. I think the whole point of this car is to be different...and it is...My husband is 6' 4' and he can comfortably sit in the back seat. So, you can call it ugly if you want, beauty is in the eye of the beholder...but I love driving this machine around and I love that its not like anything out there!

This car is so fugly, I cringe when I see one. The grille is disproportionately large, and the back end looks terrible. I live in Columbus, Ohio, and Hondas in general are best sellers here (thanks to the nearby Marysville and East Liberty Honda plants, I guess). Yet I only see a Crosstour once in a blue moon. I think that if people of Columbus are rejecting this car, then it's got to be bad.
It still sells better than Ford Flex. I don't think the lower lights are executed well, it looks like it's got 4 headlights instead of 2. However, I saw a black one in person (I'm in Canada) and I have to say it look really good in real life. The grill is not too big, 300 has a much bigger grille. I have to say this large grill would look good on an Accord sedan.

I really wish that Honda would bring back the Accord station wagon. Honda sells the station wagon in Europe and Japan, so why can't they sell it in North America? Why do the Japanese design such ugly cars? It's as if these automakers are in some kind of ugly car contest. I saw one of these Honda Crosstours on the road last week, and I actually became nauseous. I'm baffled by the success of the Japanese cars. I'm sure they're very nice and dependable, however they just seem to get uglier every year. This car really hurts my eyes.

I've got this car in 4wd -- it's big, more luxurious than Honda has done before - you'd think it was an acura == I only get 16mpg right now... still brand new. It is quiet and does have better suspension. Not much for cargo room - the venza is nicer inside and more luxurious, has more room and can tow more weight. I would have picked up the venza but toyota is too iffy right now... maybe later when they can get their cars fixed.
I don't think this car is going to have a very long lifespan.. I don't see alot of people buying it. I wish Honda would bring back the pocket-rockets of the 90s.. Integra, Prelude, even the CRX..
If they want to compete with the Outback, Honda should lower the price and not be so afraid of this car looking like a station wagon (aka more cargo space)

I have to wonder who designed this or rather who authorized this and put it into production beacuse it is terribly ugly. It has braces in the front, skinny tires, an odd shaped body, and even a black tramp stamp at the back.
I have this car and I love it. Handles great for it size plus I was driving a surburban before. It's superquiet and the vcm engine saves me gas for when it's me driving to the store but has enough power with all cylanders to carry 5 and gear to the moutains
I wouldn't even seriously consider this car! I am glad that Honda finally is using AWD and resolved the noise issue. But there is a power issue that needs to addressed. If there AWD then presumably they can up to either 4.0 liters or supercharge. Something to look forward to in the future. Also, I would like to see a manual transmission option.
Dont see the point in this model think its the case of trend over practicality. We dont have this model in the UK we may get it ?? if it were me i would buy a CRV or the Accord Tourer(estate). Also the car looks hideous bit like the chrysler Cross fire.

Why would you buy this car? Answer: you got shit to haul, uve got a family, or u live in an area w/shitty weather and "need" 4wd. So why not just get a CR-V instead of the offspring of a CR-V and accord. My advice is copy the Subaru outback that might sell more units than this bastard.
Because the Crosstour has a V6. Better for the long hauls. This car was designed for empty nesters. Road trips with moderate cargo, w/ the ability to be a great City car aswell with the comfortable ride.

If you are an empty nester I wouldnt get this I'd get a big car ie. accord or passat w/a big trunk and end it. Now if honda brought back the accord wagon and threw in AWD now that would be cool.
I agree with that, but the CR-V has more ground clearance and more cargo room so more utility. I mean I personally prefer the idea of an awd accord wagon with a little more ground clearance, or something like the toyota venza.

An equivilent Mercedes or Audi will cost you another 15k. Go ahead and do the math if you disagree, the size is comparable to an E class (def not C) and the Crosstour is 35k with all the bells and whistles. Besides a more powerful engine, you pretty much just have the same car on the inside.
That and the Crosstour probably doesn't need super/premium gas and maintance is cheaper. Better MPG, holds its value longer (something Honda is famous for) and more reliable. <3 Benz, but don't diss Honda.

I took one of these out for a drive a few days ago and I loved it. It may have less cargo room than the Venza but it's twice the car. It handles like any other Honda, tight and proper and the interior in way nicer than anything out there even close to around this price. I have a 2010 Toyota Matrix XRS and the interior is shit, my 07 Civic was a lot nicer for the dollar. I think I would buy a Honda over any new car. As far as overall quality, nothing comes close. Unless you wanna spend a ton.

...just to further on my reply, honda's base awd is the worst on the market. it aimlessly transfers power from front to back and can really be unsettling in conditions that you wanted to have awd for in the first place. There downright scary when you no what proper awd should feel like. Even the base domestic awds have a competent haldex type system. As for new accords, my 4 work mates have test drove the latest gen and all HATED it. All said cheap interior, rattles, road noise etc.
there is NO WAY Hondas all wheel is worse than the one in the Matrix XR. I drove that Cross Tour extensively and the back wheels did there thing when they were supposed to. This car will not have good sales. I like Honda myself for there reliability, but they got to get the braking fixt for safety. The style is ugly, they would have been better with the rear end look of the old Honda CRX. If they want something that will sell make a real truck and a real sports car. Honda has good sedans and real good vans now.

I've got this car in 4wd -- it's big, more luxurious than Honda has done before - you'd think it was an acura == I only get 16mpg right now... still brand new. It is quiet and does have better suspension. Not much for cargo room - the venza is nicer inside and more luxurious, has more room and can tow more weight. I would have picked up the venza but toyota is too iffy right now... maybe later when they can get their cars fixed.

I have this car and I love it. Handles great for it size plus I was driving a surburban before. It's superquiet and the vcm engine saves me gas for when it's me driving to the store but has enough power with all cylanders to carry 5 and gear to the moutains

I wouldn't even seriously consider this car! I am glad that Honda finally is using AWD and resolved the noise issue. But there is a power issue that needs to addressed. If there AWD then presumably they can up to either 4.0 liters or supercharge. Something to look forward to in the future. Also, I would like to see a manual transmission option.

Because the Crosstour has a V6. Better for the long hauls. This car was designed for empty nesters. Road trips with moderate cargo, w/ the ability to be a great City car aswell with the comfortable ride.

An equivilent Mercedes or Audi will cost you another 15k. Go ahead and do the math if you disagree, the size is comparable to an E class (def not C) and the Crosstour is 35k with all the bells and whistles. Besides a more powerful engine, you pretty much just have the same car on the inside.
That and the Crosstour probably doesn't need super/premium gas and maintance is cheaper. Better MPG, holds its value longer (something Honda is famous for) and more reliable. <3 Benz, but don't diss Honda.

This is definitely the best-riding Accord ever produced.
It sits a lot higher and is more fun to drive than a regular Accord if you like bigger cars.
Like all things Honda, I thought it was ugly as fuck at first but grew used to it and became bored of it's appearance after a few days.
I'm not really sure what the point of this car is. I suppose to compete with Subaru.

40k U.S. for this crap in loaded trim? Where's the clowns who claimed a 40k taurus sho is overpriced? Let's see; 365hp, (way de tuned) real AWD unlike honda's crap awd, cross traffic alert, blind spot alert, collision avoidance, sync, push start but., paddle shift, 20's, 6 speed, etc., etc.! The sho has performance and features unattainable on some cars that cost well over double. This isn't about the Sho though, the crosstour offers nothing but bad awd sys. over a reg. accord for 40K!!

you cant get an SHO around here for less than 50k, and as for Ford, I litterally know dozens of guys who have had major problems with their Fords since 04 and Ford wont do anything for them. They hide alot of problems they have with their rides and don't do shit for you. I like the SHO but the fact that Ford is trying to pass their product off as "good as Honda and Toyota" and it is crap. I agree Toyota has cheapened up but their drive trains are still great and they hold their value well.

I know of/several people who have had multiple transmissions in their honda vans, accords, acura TLs before 30K miles! ..not too mention many more who have had 3 transmissions before 100k miles. Toyota drive train great? ..sometimes, but unfortunately the rest of the car is a death trap. Read the article and start researching Toyota's true DESPICABLE reputation. Ford's quality as independently researched by the SAME AUTHORITYS that touted honda and Toyota in the past. Your a moron.

I took one of these out for a drive a few days ago and I loved it. It may have less cargo room than the Venza but it's twice the car. It handles like any other Honda, tight and proper and the interior in way nicer than anything out there even close to around this price. I have a 2010 Toyota Matrix XRS and the interior is shit, my 07 Civic was a lot nicer for the dollar. I think I would buy a Honda over any new car. As far as overall quality, nothing comes close. Unless you wanna spend a ton.

...just to further on my reply, honda's base awd is the worst on the market. it aimlessly transfers power from front to back and can really be unsettling in conditions that you wanted to have awd for in the first place. There downright scary when you no what proper awd should feel like. Even the base domestic awds have a competent haldex type system. As for new accords, my 4 work mates have test drove the latest gen and all HATED it. All said cheap interior, rattles, road noise etc.

there is NO WAY Hondas all wheel is worse than the one in the Matrix XR. I drove that Cross Tour extensively and the back wheels did there thing when they were supposed to. As for setting the bar pretty low, the car I drove wasnt noisy didnt rattle at all, don't know what ur friends are on about. I have driven lots of cars man and i feel Im unbiased. The Honda was nicer than anything GM, Ford or Chrsler makes for the dollar, other than those what is there? nissan would be the only other choice.

So Honda offers revised spring/shock settings and upgraded interior over the crosstour of the acura variety - which used to come standard on regular hondas - big deal ! This is value! The style is ugly, they would have been better with the rear end look of the old Honda CRX. If they want something that will sell make a real truck and a real sports car.
