Thats really beautiful, I used to listen to this song all the time in the town when I was a kid, too. Diablo had such awesome music, was such great fun. Listening to this made me feel like I took a trip back in time, I was always kinda scared playing that game, and this really brings back that memory. This just makes me wish I could play guitar instead of piano!
the song didn't really scare me, it was the Butcher. I kept creating new games to get the quest and when I get to the pink bastard I exit the game fast as possible... then the nightmares... ugh. Blizzard has a talent for creating scary games, they need to get into Survival Horror before it's too late.
PS: I like it. The music has more felt of a softer, sweeter tune. Not orginal Tristram, but almost like something that could have been played before Diablo attacked the town.
Maybe, it can be in the next release.
You should write down the notes, maybe it can become a underground hit, or a record to play to the kids without scaring them away. :)
lol i first heard that song when i was 6 years old. i played then diablo only once with a friend (i was too afraid of the diablo image at the main menue to play it again^^) but i never forgot that song, and even if i was terribly scared of the game, i always tried to play that song, that i couldnt forget, on my fathers guitar, even if i didnt knew anything about guitars^^

There are so many times where I'm done playing Diablo, but I just sit in town with chatting with my friends and listening to the music. It's a mixture of tranquility, yet uneasiness. Such a brilliant piece of music.
Nice version..Tristram is a haunting tune that will forever be imprinted on my mind. I use to do the same thing, park my character in town just for the song. great for meditation..or just putting on repeat and let it play all night while I sleep. I might catch some flak for this but I think the music itself played a huge role in making Diablo such a success. It really set the mood and atmosphere perfectly.

....there's a diablo 3?!!?? when? i'm still waiting for Ex Mortis 3 to come out, lol. it's for addicting games dot com =P, and that wasn't spam, lol. seems like part 3's are flying out of nowhere =) so, is part three going to be much harder? cause, i beat part one, I'm still stuck in Kurast in part 2, and if part 3 is hard, then I'm scared =P

Nice version..Tristram is a haunting tune that will forever be imprinted on my mind. I use to do the same thing, park my character in town just for the song. great for meditation..or just putting on repeat and let it play all night while I sleep. I might catch some flak for this but I think the music itself played a huge role in making Diablo such a success. It really set the mood and atmosphere perfectly.

I believe the music creates this .. feeling of just.. I don't know, it's an almost intense feeling calmness, but also fear.
The ending part is without a doubt my favorite part,

and whenever I'd hear this song.. it was so beautiful.
Especailly the last 30 secs or of the song,
