Saludos. Federico W2NNN/LU6KK

  • Very nice. I am interested in trying this myself as I get started in amateur radio. Out of curiosity, what transmitter power is being used here on 2M? I see that you are using an array with 2 yagi to get the signal up. I read that it may need an array of 4 for lower power on different bands, but I have read very little regarding 2M eme.

  • Thanks for your comment!

The setup is 2X15el yagis and 190W. I have worked more than 25 eme stations with this setup.

I hope to see u via the moon!

  • @ponchoruben thanks for the quick response :)

I am still awaiting my callsign... took exams 6-Mar. been interested in amateur radio for a while & never really got past the code hurdle. now that the code restriction is dropped, i suddenly find myself interested in learning cw again. i can finally copy at about 7WPM, needs to be faster :/

I am looking at Yaesu FT-817 as my first radio. I have a strong electronics exp but I'm not familiar w/ ham gear. any suggestions on a good amp to use?

  • Saludos.

A ver si consigo yo mi primer QSO via EME....

  • AMAZING !! 461,000 Mile QSO between Mexico and the Balearic Islands in Europe! I've been a ham for 45 years and always favored hf, but this could spark an interest in VHF!

Congratulations to First Class Operator Alfonso XE2NS, who can now say that as a Ham Radio Operator he has been to the moon and back! AWESOME !! - John N6HI -
