I came across this video via a link from the General Union in Japan which represents many foreign English teachers there. It is true, migrant workers in Japan are just as likely to be denied health insurance as migrant workers in the US. Ditch the company, get involved in political activism, where things can change more easily and have wider reprocussions, and then you can skil the whole uphill battle with the company by making it law that large companies must pay sertain benefits and raise the state minimum wage (or better yet, federal)..
I would also say, move to Illinois. Our Gov. has provided a wonderful program for families called All Family and All Kids so that we can have health insurance at little to no cost. It has been a God send.
