  • All I see are a bunch of socialist union whiners with no jobs. Hey fags, gtfo America if you're hell-bent on ruining the US economy.

  • @SanguineBullet667 You mean those working people who are protected against the capitalists and their running dogs?

  • Time for a good hard core Melbourne union tune.

  • couldnt be better.

  • PLAY THIS IN WAL-MART!

  • Gay bikie gang

  • POWER TO THE

    UNIONS AND THE PEOPLE WHO ARE THE UNION ;

IN UNION THERE IS STRENGTH--NEVER EVER FORGET ; WE STAND TOGETHER , OR WE FALL ONE BY ONE!

  • Great song indeed. Hopefully we here in the U.S. can do something to turn around the terribly anti-union public sentiment in the country. Nearly every male in my family uncles, grandfathers, and cousins are in the local 537 pipefitters union in Boston, and i'm currently in law school to be a labor lawyer. Solidarity from #Occupywallst.

  • Union songs are great, I've even written a few myself, but check out local union heroes too, mine is "William Davis" who died in New Waterford, Nova Scotia. He was fighting for the water and electricity after the British Empire Steel Corp. shut down the supply to the town, including hospital and schools. William Davis was shot through the heart as the result of over 300 rounds being fired from horseback by the British Empire Police Force. Harry Muldoon was known as the shooter who murdered Davis.

  • atlantic city local 54 we vote yes or no to new contract, may go on strike 12am.

  • Sorry but the best Union song is Billy Braggs 'Power in a Union'. Good song though.

    Unions Forever.

  • AWU sa member reporting!

where can i get this song/other songs like it?

  • ETU Vic member here!

  • wheres me fuckin credit card craig ????

  • Unions are obsolete now. I'm glad they are dieing off...

  • @straken9k1 ,

I guess you are one of the rich guys, or you don't mind working for pennies while the business owners or ceo's make 100 times what you do.

  • @straken9k1 whats this hate for unions? whats wrong with the workers bargaining with their masters? :P

seriously though, what the fuck is wrong with giving the low workers the right to get a good wage from the bosses, who honestly would pay their guys $0 if they could get away with it

  • @straken9k1 Haha. Could you be any more wrong?

  • My dad was a union man his whole life, boilermaker in St. Louis. Grandpa was union too. This entire nation owes a debt to the labor movement that's almost impossible to comprehend.

  • i never knew unions had songs. :/

Then again, I'm an evil capitalist. But really, I don't mind private unions that much. Just public ones (especially teacher and cop unions).

The big unions are sellouts though; even a non-union guy like me can see that. When they pay their top brass hundreds of thousands of dollars in salaries, and then turn around and endorse Obama, who caters to the Mexican cheap labor lobby, you wonder what the hell their members are getting for their money.

  • @aldoreshgaramok : My take isn't that you're an evil capitalist but more an ignorant little man with little education that has no clue what he's talking about. I picture you as a pathetic excuse for a human being with no compassion that has never fought for anything in his entire life. So sad to be you. I actually pitty you. God forbid teachers, cops, and Mexicans actually be compensated for the work they do that caters to low lives like you who think you're above the rest. You disgust me.

  • @sarbear565 lol

that's a pretty broad brush to stroke someone with over a youtube comment.

    grow up

  • Great song. Chin up, union brothers and sisters. Wisconsin is just the first exchange. We won back two. Power to the unions!

  • Right on! CFMEU forever.

  • AFSCME Local 2960 stands strong with all our brother and sister unions throughout the world! Solidarity Forever!!!

  • Hmmm. . . it's rousing, to be sure. But I still like the "Look for the Union Label" song from the 1970s best. It's message is more positive and patriotic without being strident.

  • This is great. We need to go back to the wonderful union songs of the past. I think my favorite though is Joe Hill. Can't listen to it without tears in my eyes.

  • No is the time that people need to understand that we have to stand together in this war that the working class has to fight against the greedy corporations in this country. If we do not stand together and fight them we will all be working for the 50 cents a day and working 16 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. If everybody understood that they are worth more than the pittance that they want to pay them then things would change real fast. SEIU Local 49 stands with all unions!!!!!!!!!

  • I will take Angry Anderson belting out we cant be beaten at the recent no carbon tax rallies all day over this try hard rhetoric shit. Fuck wit union dickheads supporting Gillard and Paul fucking Howes.

  • Supporting our CFMEU brothers and sisters from Arkansas!

  • Great video. Unions more important then ever right now. Stay strong! Plasterers' Local 8 Philadelphia PA

  • Solidarity forever my borthers and sisters of CFMEU. From a proud union member in the USA.

  • the first two guitar notes of this song are similar to another well known rock song. does someone know what song im talking about?

  • Awesome song and video ... solidarity forever!!

  • Not sure if I'd call it "The World's Greatest"... but It's pretty DAMN good. Solidarity... NOW more than EVER!

  • Let us all help to speed the day when this wonderful earth and its rich resources are held in common for the benefit of all humanity.Workers of all lands unite.

  • Why can't anyone tell me why it ISN'T ok to not be in a union? It's supposed to be a choice, but if I choose not to be a member, I get bullied and assaulted. My property is damaged. Now Is THAT unAustralian or what??

  • @Aussie Nodwell before lazarus brought his work choices and changed all the IR laws against construction workers it use to be compulsory to be a member before you went on any project since the laws changed so have the people that are new to the industry and never lost a penny for any of the perks we have today 23 yrs ago i was on a 10 wk on 1 off no tv no fridge shared amenities today foxtel air con ensuite pc playstation i pods 4 wks on 1 off now bosses gave us Nada we fought for everything

  • @luneco100 That's actually a really fair point. But you cant ignore the bullying and corruption that exists within union ranks now. Personnaly, I dont think there is a need for it. Most tradesmen are on good wages and a lot (not all) of bosses generally care about workers conditions and safety. As an employer of about 45 tradies I care about each and every one of them. I pay them well and educate them. I resent being misrepresented as a prick just because I am a boss.

  • @Aussienod a boss no one expects yourself to be a member your workers well that's up to the individual depends on their trade unfortunately the last 5 yrs since lazarus brought his work choices and IR laws it created a division amongst the construction workforce too many greenhorns that only care about themselves but when shit hits the fan they join up to get an extra dollar which members have to fight for good luck with your business but one cannot blame people for being a union member like me

  • @AussieNod Being bullied or assaulted for any reason Nod is UnAustralian(Whatever that means?) However I will reiterate my past comments; If you recieve pay or conditions that are better than you otherwise would have because of Union involvement you should pay your share because to not do so is akin to theft. Nobody likes a scab for good reason, the most important being it undermines the strength of collective action. Dont want to be a member then negotiate your own conditions and see how you go

  • KingDMP <<<================================

  • lets keep fighting against these laws mainly the abcc the cci and all the scabs infiltrating our industry 5 yrs since lazarus tried to destroy the unions and yet we are still here never give up against these bastards united as one we will win

  • Great song! Terrific Sentiment as well! We're getting organized at my job too..

  • AWU member here! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK

  • UNION YES! LIUNA.

  • to scab aussie nod you are a part of howard's work choices that brainwashed all the right wing dickheads like yourself howard created a division on building sites to please the rich bosses which are all anti union take the workers rights i would be ashamed to be an aussie and not fight for what our forefathers fought in the past to have at least a go to these workchoices laws which we are still under today under labor you are one of hundreds of scabs in our industry today that are destroying us

  • Good folk united and making a fair wage! Only unions make this possible!

  • fuck unions

  • @armyboy1207 fuck the army

  • @armyboy1207

fuck YOU, enjoy your private college liberal prick

  • @wnxsystem Thank you, i am going to a private college too! And btw Unions are a Democratic thing... not conservative; stand up for yourself you pussy ass fuck

  • @armyboy1207

how can you stand up on your own when management try to fuck you over- THEY have legal authority over YOU, the union movement assists by bringing the same authority to your side- making things even.

  • I met Joe Macdonald a month ago in Boddington. Top bloke, sound man and a fighter for the workers. Top man

  • magentasoot spoken like a true AWU member.

  • Look at all the uneducated fucking sheep.........

  • Love this song!

  • Unions. A reason to be lazy and uneducated

  • @AussieNod Unions a reason to earn a law degree(hardly uneducated) and reason to work 10 hrs a day 7 days a week fighting for those not able to fight for themselves(Hardly lazy)

Ill ask you what I ask every shitstirrer, If you do not like/support unionism What the fuck are you doing watching union videos??? Fucktard!

  • @digswins I like watching union videos because I still get amazed at how many stupid people there are out there! Let me ask you this. Why is it NOT ok to be in a union? If I was on a building site and non union, I'd be persecuted and bullied, maybe even physically. Why?

  • @AussieNod Because You'd be a scab!!!

Taking benefits that everyone else pays for. Hardly an Aussie thing to do now is it Nod???

  • @digswins Mate, I fought for OTHER peoples rights like a true man. I put on a uniform and got a rifle and went and did a shit of a job. I didnt whinge about my pay or sook about conditions. I shut the fuck up and did it. All for people who couldnt do that, so preaching to me about taking other people's benefits is a laugh.

  • @AussieNod So did I mate. The Batalion is where I really learned that the "workers" need their own independant voice.

I dont preach to anyone and I dont see my military service as anymore "manly" than what I do now. I like you did what I was asked without question, did not whinge or sook and took my medicine.

All of that aside neither of us it seems have continued to follow the fables and are now on OCS.If you recieve benefits that the Union has won for workers you should pay your share. Simple.

  • @AussieNod Stone the Blasphemer!!!

  • Absolutely love this song.

  • EtobaB it's called 'Union thru and thru'

  • anyone know the name of this song

  • Oh Yah.....This is the best Union song!!! Union today, tomorrow and til we die.

    Yvonne and Bob

    Ava,Illinois

    Obamaland

  • union built quallity built we are the cfmeu touch one touch all big hello to all my brothers

  • Yep! Some Construction workers are united rather than in Ireland when we had a Construction Boom the majority those on Sites had to work as 'Self Employed "C2" Contractors' towards the end it became 'Manic!' undercutting each outher to get the contracts pricing even below cost! so that they might make a few bob on the next contract..As for the Main Contractor had the workers where he wanted them Running around in unsafe conditions like headless chickens and creating unsafe Sites great Song!

  • Its nice to see at least one union has not sold itself out.

  • Thank goodness for REAL unions with the courage to stand up for their members!
