I've done the quest chain involving the Worgen, it is to do with you being sent there from the dark portal, (alliance only) and going to the village to do a minor, yet cool quest chain, you basically have to do some kill quests on the demons at first. the worgen in the tree is a worgen druid who grew the foliage to help the scar heal. However, the demons just ended up rallying around it. so you have to kill the druid. (gather items into bag, throw at druid, kill druid)

Not too supriced to see the swamp looking area to be honest. Apparently the whole of Blasted Lands were a swamp from the beginning. When you do the COT-dark portal dungeon that is what it looked like before someone decided to open up a big portal and blow it all up. We just never looked behind the portal :O Good vid Total B, thanks!

Quite amazing how much that Wargen village looks like Warhammer Fantasy Empire architecture. It's quite similar in the grim dark medieval europe look. ^_^

@Sylahr46 Sort of. He developed it into a curse for Pyrewood Village, but the original Worgen are from a world that not even the druids dream about. It's apparently just a twisted world that's filled with violence and war. Argual just brought them following a book. He wasn't the first to summon Worgen. WoW doesn't really talk about it, but the books kinda hint on it.

Maybe the worgen is trying to make a portal to the Worgen Home world? They were brought here from somewhere by Argus, lore never really touches too much on it (Scythe of Elune line) and maybe the Scar was just a good spot to do it? Just my speculation. (1:26)

@neocrimsoncloud It's most likely just you and anyone else with a slow connection/shitty computer, for me they load quite quickly in 720p and they never even need to "buffer" they just load up right away so I can watch it.

Looks like the worgen are the alliances equal to the forsaken. Joined out of mutual gain, and doing stuff the main leaders might not approve of.

@obrobos They'll get the world change aswell, it goes for everybody, however what they don't get is the new level cap and probably a few things here and there but seeing there is no new profession and that the few new zones in cata are still in azeroth you would still get some enjoyment, but honestly your profession would/shoeld be stuck at where it's at now, you wouldn't get deepholm and the whole underwater area nor worgen/goblins, considering cata is gonna cost 2 gamecards worth, save for it.

Lore of the Scar:

The blue Tree is one of a few like this. They are basically the Barrow Dens of the first Worgen (Druids of the Scythe). These Druids lost control in their Worgen form, becoming dangerous wild creatures. So they were banished in the Emerald Dream. They sleep forever under giant blue glowing trees like that one.

That's all there is to it right now.

If memory serves, it looked like he was wearing druid armor (tier 3 I think, but im not sure) and judging by the way he was suspended in midair, and how it looked like he was doing the animation as if he'd been sleeped or sapped by a rogue, i'd say he wasn't there by choice :P

@Tommy2er nope, the closest to the Dark Portal that the Horde can fly to (which again, doesn't really matter nowadays with the major city portal) is Stonard in Swamp of Sorrows

in warcraft 3, the dead scar was the first place the dreadlords came, searching for the prince, if i'm right, its undead mission one, which is where the undead tainted the lands first.

@jackster853 In the book Beyond The Dark Portal it mentions that the Blasted Lands are a result of the desolation and "plagued" world of Draenor leaking through into Azeroth. The result is what you see, which is why the Blasted Lands look similar to Hellfire Peninsular, just the other side of the portal.
