Thumbs up if you want to be a witness during the time when titanic sinks . well, I admit I cried when I heard about this story specially about the story of jack and rose
As a casual observer obsessed with Titanic for > 15 years, Cameron's theory *seems* flawed - the staircase for the movie was built differently somewhat than that done in the real ship, plus the amount of damage seems disproportionate to what you'd expect if the staircase tried to lift itself up and out not just on the Boat / A decks, but below, where it would have to go through floors too.
@travelsonic Cameron admitted to widening the grand staircase so that both the cameras and actors/extras could get around without getting in one another's way. And as far as the sinking goes, the staircase on the set and on the original ship was made of solid wood, so when the Titanic went down, the staircase lifted off the floor. Because the dome shattered it was able to lift out with minimal damage to its surroundings.

And both the set staircase and the actual staircase of the Titanic was made out of solid wood, so when the ship sank, the staircase lifted. And nothing really shifted until the ship was underwater as far as staircases goes. The ship was sinking at a fast rate so nothing really had time to escape it.
how do you know? There is alot of "mud" sediment inside the wreck the remains could be simply burried for all we know. fragment of lamb leg bone was recovered and it was thought to be human if lamb bone can survive being burried Im sure any human remains under the mud will still be there.
@Milner62 I thought the lamb bone was found inside a covered china bowl or something? The chances of human bone being found in anything that would preserve it are pretty slim.
@xlNonToxiclx, the lamb bone was found inside of some mud attached to a dish. If the bone animal or human (humans are animals so I guess animals would be good enough) is covered by sediment it will preserve it since the organisims that eat the bones wont be able to get to it. Just like wood and the steel burried in the mud will be in alot better shape than those that are not. But the thing is though bodies falling to the floor would have been eatten on as they fell to the ocean floor.
Being afraid of the ocean and it's might as it is, I could NEVER go 2.5 miles down to see this wreck!! I am thankful there are people to take the risk and go down there, so people like me can see it!!
Go check out Discovery of the Titanic and it tells you that it's the remains of a doll that little Lorraine Allison clutched tightly in her arms as she clutched her mother's skirts as he rmother clutched her father. Her brother survived but Lorriane didn't.
In reply to Zarathustra799's comment in reference to the 'sub getting caught on its cord'..... The ultimate 'last mystery' you may personally want to research is the mistake your parents made during your conception............
The bitching and moaning about the sub getting caught on its cord in just padding to stretch the program out longer. Cameron is, afterall, just an entertainer, tbqh.
I guess you'll have to keep watching because this documentary uncovers many last mysteries, including the first time anyone saw the magnificent Turkish Baths sice the night of April 14, 1912.
The first part is a very good idea. They could bring down maybe 5 subs and scrape it. But the idea of a sandblower underwater is suicide. Once you blow up the sand it will float all around the water. It could take hours and hours to clear. By the time its cleared, more sand has replaced the sand blown up.
A good idea is sucking up the sand through a pipe? Then it could be put in huge containers and all of it can be dropped of somewhere else.
zzlpn... you never cease to amaze me with the beautiful quality of your video uploads! "Last Mysteries" is a stunning addition to an incomparable library of great documentaries on the legendary Titanic! I met Ken Marschall and Don Lynch a few years ago at various conventions of the Titanic Historical Society... their input into these films is, indeed, beyond measurable value! Cameron's expeditions to the great ship are informative and visually captivating! 10 stars out of 10!!!
Sensationalistic and false advertising maybe? Yeah I seem to remember they called it "LIVE" in the adverts, but I didn't see the actual show originally so don't know.
wondering if it would let titanic last a little bit longer if they kind of knocked off or scraped the rustacles off of it to somewhat clean it up and so it wouldn't eat away at it as much . also i wonder why nobody has tried to use a sand blower to expose the cuts in titanic that the iceberg made so you can finally see it .
that submarine looks cute
