In sand air down to like 15 PSI. I didnt get stuck on stock tires in my 2500 diesel 4x4 that's really heavy and you for sure wont get stuck in a light Jeep. Just got back from Pismo 2 weeks ago, had a blast
@kiopi94 Hey sry for the delay , note it's best to hit the reply button or the person you're text to does not get notice of you're comment :)
answer to your question ... yes stock tires do fine in the sand if you air down don't drop stock tires below 10 psi get a low pressure gauage there only a couple bucks
if you lower the psi to much you chance braking the tire seal of the rim
unless you have a can starter fluid or a spear you're screwed
18 to 16 psi should do... + never stop when car moves, even if a little ... u only go in reverse when you can't get forward! to build momentum and lay some good tracks..
should have got a hummer lol. jj a hummer H1 costs over 100,000 for a good one, jeeps cost what 25,000 or so? so yeah if you really dont want to get stuck without dropping 100 grand in a new 4by4 maybe some different tires a lift kit and tire pressure like surf4luke said. good job getting out, jeeps are amazing off road vehicles.
i think a better title could have been: someone whom should have never been let off the pavement Stuck in Guadalupe Dunes, Pismo Beach
