Watching episodes from A bit of Fry and Laurie, and the Blackadder series indeed will give you some more insight into the capabilities Mr. Laurie has an a comedian and an actor. On a sidenote, Stephen Fry made great television discovering the US in an English taxi-cab.

I'm American and knew he was english from watching black adder and a bit of fry and laurie as a child. I have always known and I can't believe so few knew! House is one of my favorite shows and Hugh is truly funny. You should watch his other works as well.

In his audition for House M.D he acted with the American accent and fooled the director into thinking he actually was American they never asked him to try the accent on he just fooled them into thinking he was American :P

Great interview but is it true at (american) football games they don't segregate crowds by team? This is unheard of in the Uk. Even at friendlies.
