  • can i change the background for video

  • why not do it with green screen? Seems it would be easier than having actor acting realy slow? Especially if you wanted actor talking while acting in scene.

  • so....all you need is a good actor!!!

  • wow,,, sir i like it... thanks... hehe

  • thank u man god bless u

  • it seems like all this is . is a more advanced windows movie maker

  • I'm actually really disappointed with Power Director, on the shelf and in their product videos it comes across as good as Adobe After Effects. Truth is, it is no where close to an operating system. The fault is trying to make the program an easy to use software for everyone and by doing that, it lacks any sort of advance editing. Time to Switch back to Adobe......sorry, disappointed customer.

  • You can do this effect another way but it is a little more complicated: A green screen have the person doing what ever you want them to do while they're standing in front of the green screen, then add the background and speed only the background up and you will get the same result if it is done right

  • thank you but size the video is very big !! .. ksa

  • my powerdirector is really slow, i can't work with it this way. does anybody knows a solution for this problem?

  • @xsooff11x Power Director is known as a little bit demanding program. Simply answer is.. you need better computer.

  • Comon man i was expecting a effect like editing a normally recorded video.... not slo mo bs!

  • fail!

  • We did this entire suspense trailer ("Your Girl Is Mine") using PowerDirector 8. It took a long time with lots of crashes, tears and screaming, but learned a lot so...

ask us any questions you might have. Just here to help, others!

  • "I look and talk like robot"...

  • This sucks... I can do that same shit with Windows Movie maker

  • Excellent.. that's given me some ideas

  • Not so good.....If you have money for an actor just take a green screen :P

  • Not so good.....If you have money for a actor just take a green screen :P

  • This is good as an option but one problem I see would be in the case where you need the subject to provide dialog of some sort. Thanks for posting, I thing the chromakey option would be my first choice.

  • I feel you on wht you did but its not really slowing him down is there a editor that can truly slw you down and allow the background to move fastno acting required

  • This is what they've done in the ''Untitled'' music video of Simple plan. To make the raindrops slower, so it's like the other way around but with the same idea. Thanks for the tut ^^

  • MGM did it with a green screen and it looked flawless...

  • Cyberlink is shit. Doesnt come with any codecs for mp4 videos and the amount of glitches is unreal. Waste of money.

  • @simon44 you can do it mp4.. mp4 is the same as mpeg-4

  • @dadobi2 No it wont do mp4 or mpeg-4 as you say without downloading K-lite codecs (which are seperate to what power director gives you). Even when you do get the K-lite codecs it still doesnt work very well at all.

  • @simon44

Hi.. can I ask a question please?

I've recently created a tribute video to a friend who died and have been asked to put a few copies onto DVD.

Do you know how I can get rid of the tacky hill billy type tune and drawing in the dvd menu please?

Don't think it would be in good taste to his grieving widow !!

I've tried changing the background sound, but I still a snippet of the default jingle.

Your help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

  • Ehhh that sucks. I was hoping to use this effect in a video game but there's no way to perform actions in slow motion so bleeehhhhhhhh.

  • Is this compatible with Canon Rebel T1i?

  • Lol exactly way easier to film fast motion stuff then add chroma key to green screen footage. Looks better too

  • i am 100% sure that in movies they use the green screen rather than this. lols

  • hey guys im getting this programme but which one shall i get the ultra or the delux?

can anyone tell me the difference?? i have the canon 550d wich is mov file and the samsung hmxR10 which is H.264/ mp both HD, when i have done my editing what format do i save my file in?? whats the best quality? if anyone can help me that would be great :)

  • update your video becuase theres a new version out

  • the result looks wired

  • OMG . thats so easy ! haha tnx.

  • u can do this in any editing software LMAO

  • @WarhawkDGK

lol - not in windows movie maker

  • make the cars drive twice as fast then there will be a crash and it will look beter

  • this is stupid! this isnt just for Cyberlink! you can do this with windows movie maker, pinnacle, sony vegas, after effects, and EVERYTHING ELSE!

  • you can do this in movie maker...

  • Or just do it all in green screen and shoot the picture of the city as the background and then speed it up :P This one is the easiest of course, but the greenscreen effect is much cooler

  • @Rizorn

how do I get my hands on a green screen?

  • @electrifrying

tubetapeDOTcom, Youtube recommended it to me. I bought their biggest one, for only like 60 dollars :)

  • @electrifrying Just make your own its easy

  • Does this software support video mode that comes from a DSLR camera like the Nikon D300s?

  • This is bloody ridiculous, Bought this crappy JVC everio video camera, which records in a format that can only be read by this video program, and the obsolete version of it (the v3 I think) have absolutely no way of speeding up and slowing down, so now I am left with an expensive hunk of crap with a useless video editing software.. and I will have to pay to upgrade to the later software, what the hell is wrong with cyberlink?

  • @vanepico I feel your pain :| what format is it? Mine's .MOD.

  • @AlexTheAverageKid Yeah it's the same. I have found a way, I got a good conversion software called any video converter. You need to rename the *movie*.MOD to *movie*.mpg (because it is just an mpeg in disguise!) then input it into the converter and output an AVI and it can be used in movie maker

  • @vanepico I don't know why but my Windows Movie Maker can take .MOD files now. I had lots of problems with them in the past, but ever since I got Windows 7 I haven't had any trouble with them. I tried everything to get them to work on Windows XP but it failed. It might just require an OS upgrade.

  • Lol nothing to do with effets just acting and speed up video.

  • he looks like a robot

  • worst method to do this

  • another simple and helpful tutorial! cool!

  • You can just do this in windows movie maker without the hassle of constant freezes you get with this software and if your running xp or above its already there and easier to use.

Very glitchy and unresponsive software, tried it on 2 desktops and a laptop, need to work on this kind of software before trying to sell it

  • You could just record the traffic for an hour, then perform the action on a green screen or if your cheap behind a wall that is 1 color and use the PiP effect place the person to were you want and your done. its allot easier and looks more professional

  • this is not how they make movie -.-

  • can you do "green screen" with this power director 8?

  • @joburgess

    Yes

  • @Komputeronik1996 How? Where? I love this software but that was always something I can find

  • @Jbams01

    Search PowerDirector Chroma key

  • just go to the cyberlink site. All the tutorials are on there, including the chroma key one. What they don't say is that in order to get good chroma key you should record 4:2:2 if not your edges look like staircases :)

  • So i was wondering if there is a way that you can just cut a clip and have it fade to black.. instead of into the next clip.. how can you do this?? andd if there is a way to have space between two clips (so they arent right next to each other). Please help. Thanks!

  • make a black picture and then put it after the clip

  • @TurnTableTilly Just add a black colorboard between the clips and put the fade transition on the first clip to the colorboard. Hope this helped!

  • @TurnTableTilly i dont think there is a way but what i do is open paint create a black square then save it and import it then put it in the mater track. you can then fiddle around with the animation to get a fading effect

    xx

  • @TurnTableTilly just put it in the pip track and move it.

  • thats cool but I downloaded and installed ver 8 and it just crashes as soon as I try to do anything.

  • I use Power Director 6 a lot, and it also keeps crashing. Now that i read your comment, not sure i want to upgrade...!

  • number 7 is the best.

    :]

  • @mikechristodoulou

Cyberlink stuff crashes for a past time, got version 8 tried in on 3 different computers, absolute junk, dont waste your time, i get better results with windows movie maker

  • That's you computer...

    Not the program

  • can u ramped slo mo in cyber link?

  • good video. aul not English but this translated.

I need to know how to produce sele videooo ago and I try but out of very poor quality which of all the options I put in mpg4 mpg2 or avi or mpg 3 which

    I hope your answer

  • wow another creation for my power director 8

  • So i have to pay for PD8, even though i bought PD7. this is lame

  • No...that is just the way it works with software. Where have you been?

  • How do you upload the video that is my problem please tell me!

  • click produce

  • wouldn't it be better to just have the guy in front of a green screen and then splice the two footage's together?

  • That works too, but you don't get the same effect they use in most movies. Create your own video version and share with us.

  • @CyberLinkChannel they use a green screen in movies.

  • @CyberLinkChannel :DD I dont think so. In most movies they use green/bluescreen for those effects ;-)

  • @CyberLinkChannel So why is it in the movies the footage isn't so god damn choppy? Green screen is easier, more efficient and you don't look like a retard on the side of the road pretending to be a statue.

  • @killercombine yes it would

  • @killercombine thats what i was thinking....Cuz this makes him look like a robot

  • @killercombine yeah but we are Americans we find the cheap way for everything xD

  • WOW, i thought this was an effect, how am i suppose to do everything in slow?

  • @cardboardhome Act like a total spaz, and you won't even need Powerdirector 8! :D
