I needed to hear this, I've been very conflicted lately about a friend of mine who took her shahadah about 7 months ago, I've tried to tell her Asalaamu Alaykom and each time I say it she jokes back saying Salami Bologne :( I thought oh well she is just kidding, well recently she informed me that she is getting married (to a non-Muslim), and that she hasn't been that happy in over 30 years, I am her friend and I love her like a sister but I can not accept this, nor can I correct her, advice?
I will cite just another hadith to underline my opinion. Resulullah said: "The one who is living with the people and making mistakes (sins) is 70 times better from the one who is living in a cave and making ibadah." The fight of our ummah is in ecnomics and education and if you frighten the educated brothers and sisters with iman or ihsan, you should know that you take the responsibility for doing that, because in that fight many things seem like makruh on the first sight. Aisha reported that Resulullah took always the easier thing if he had the choise between two halal things. So the sunnah should be to make it easier and not to harden every step in life. You should think about taking responsibility for those brothers and sisters with high potential to do good things for this ummah and big things, because you are choosing a conservative way, because you are honestly afraid of the other way. But as we can see from the sunnah, it isn't the right principle.
May Allah reward you with constant endless good from places you would never expect. Jazakallahukhairun. this came at a perfect timing. the halal has been made clear and the haram has been clear, and in the middle there are grey matters, so stay away from them. what whispers have come to me that I know this hadeeth yet disregard and delve into these grey matters simple to satisfy my urging soul? my petty desires. ya ayuhual insaan. ma gharraka bi rabika al kareem?.....
(new revert- 1.5yrs) - Some people make excuses.. that's the whole problem. Its hard to realise that life can't be easy all the time. Its a lot easyer to manipulate the truth, but to whom are we lying when we do that? Allah(swh) who obviously knows AND doesn't agree with our lie/excuse and our own selfves. Subhanallah!
