Not really. I'll give you the fact they should have the main trilogy first. Considering the state that the anime industry is in, where most people would rather watch Slice of Life and Harem crap then well written mult-dimensional storylines, most people wouldn't be able to deal with the sudden swap in atmosphere. I believe TE is the perfect anime to test the waters. Plus it'll give more money to the TE VN.

Also Total Eclipse is good shit from the very beggining, unlike Muv Luv trilogy ( EXTRA = crap).

As I said before it was fucking made in the early 2001 so of course you can't expect the early writers to actually make it as good as Alternative, I mean try comparing it with other VNs during those times for god's sakes, and also Twilight was already way too over rated by Fan Girls, I mean seriously Vampires these days are really being misused in so many works so Screw Twilight, (No offence Twilight fans) anyways bottom line is, EXTRA was not that bad.

For example FS/N was published 1 year later but was much longer so it was propably being made in the same time. The difference between those 2 VNs is catastrophic. Another good VNs (much better than ML) in the same period of time :

- Ever 17 (actually its older)

The school was more of a Japanese school (Literally) not a language school, they literally taught you the same things the schools in Japan taught. And My Mom always speaks Japanese with me, sometimes english though.

I dropped out of the school in 6th grade though, the work became overwhelming. I continued reading and speaking, so only my writing dropped.

@timemaster17 Isn't the Unlimitied: The Day After one of several stories in Volume 1 of Alternative: Chronicles?, at least that's what I've read. But I've aslo seen some things suggesting that I may have been thinking of episode 00 of The Day After, and that episode may focus on the Marines, where as this one (episode 01) focuses on the IJA.

Alternative Chronicles are short stories about squads like the Chicken Divers and Rain Dancers. Muv-Luv Unlimited The Day After does come with Alternative Chronicles and is about a Japanese protagonist after the activation of Alternative V in Unlimited.

Takeru only appeared in the Opening dow, as it was after they showed that picture of his TSF while it was reaching its hands into the sky, then you suddenly see a U.N soldiers feet stomping and the camera just suddenly pans upward to hide the soldiers identity which is of course Takeru surviving as the last man standing.

He must have died somewhere in 2007
