I just copped this, and it was AMAZING. All the tracks were straight fire. From start to fininsh i can't get enough of this album. I really want everyone to buy this, trust me this will be the best $10 you will ever spend this year.
We could remove some of the racism and bullshit if we could just look at music like honest self expression dammit! Beautifully done guys! Keep em comin' We always can handle a good eargasm!!
You elitists need to remove yourself from the played out "underground" vs "mainstream" mentality. This here is what hip hop has always been about - artists of all backgrounds and "success" levels with a common love for the music. Judge not what you can't relate to. To insult someone as legendary as Busta Rhymes just because your little sister who doesn't "get it" might dance to him is pathetic. RSE is putting out a compilation that we should be thankful for and respect - with no dotted lines.
well if young buck got on there, i think odds of nas or jay z ever getting on an album like this are very slim. who would ever thought that buck being featured on an album like this would ever happen. nas and jay-z are old school, they go back to the days when they used to battle dudes like biggie, and big l & ain't nothing wrong with them neither now or than.
nas and nastradamus albums were sick!!! when i was 16 yrs old... but now rap has progressed so much for me that nas don't cut it fo this mafluffa... although jay'z comes tight 'sometimes' but other times jay'z stinks up the place, owning def jam and givin ma boy redman the cold shoulder wussup widdit!!!??
jay-z & Nas aren't going to reach out to an indie label producer... Nas & Jay have been making themselves look like fools for the past couple of years.
urverysmelly thought it was 50 cent because at 50's prime he did a freestyle over it right before the massacre came out which Jake One was featured on.
pretty sure it said "from some of todays most notable mainstream and underground artists" it never said freeway, keak, prod,or busta where underground.
Would have been better if Jake got different artists to collab with each other, like Slug & Young Buck or MOP and Brother Ali. It disappoints me when someone in Jake's position doesn't do a little more to bridge the gap between the different types of underground rappers.
Hey, I think the way he's done it is pretty awesome. Not many could or would hook up: Brother Ali & Freeway, Bishop Lamont & Busta Bust or Black Milk & Nottz together. It's pretty new and decent. You've obviously not seen the tracklist.
haha funny how buster Rhymers is featured, Thats Hilarious fuck Buster Rhymers, mad respect to Slug, and All of Rhymesayers though May the Underground live on.
true that man, true that. The main reason this is going to be awesome is cuz all the underground people are gonna get noticed, and if there on the same CD as the mainstream, people are FINALLY gonna realize real hip-hop isn't on the radio. Big ups to RSE!!
Did you not just see this video, Hip-hop aint dead there is just a lot of people trying to kill it...im tired of hearing that crap. As long as you have real MCs, like people from Rhymesayers, rapping it cant die. And Busta Rhymes is a legend have you ever heard of Leaders of the New School?
your a faggot busta rhymes is one of the best to ever do it. there are some good mainstream rappers but fuck it you dont know anything outside rhymesayers anyways
im not saying mainstreams better than underground but to hate something strictly because its mainstream is just narrow minded. and i think we can all agree that kanye sucks though haha
but anyone who disses busta rhymes is just plain ignorant... the man is a legend and was one of dillas fav artists
Yeah, I agree with your point. I guess what I'm trying to say is, never buy major label shit. Take someone like Nas, I won't buy any plastic from him, but a crew like E&A, yeah, I'll shell out 10 bucks for that ish.
Even if Nas is a dope fucker. That goes for Dead Prez as well. They want to make my money, they better start touring.
Lastly, it's a different age. When Hip Hop just was getting mainstream, yeah, you could be true school and signed, because it was chaos. These days, it's systematic
All these cats just looking for a deal, only to become pawns to this suicide system. There is historical context as well.
And Busta is a homophobic pissant. He might be a pioneer, but he sure as hell ain't educated enough to speak wisdom. I'm thinking someone more like KRS, even though I've met the dude, and he has some weird theories too.
i dont know tho but if nas' album is better than E&A hypothetically speaking wouldnt you want to buy it due to the fact that you would be shelling out money on a better album?
as for busta i dont ever see him speaking wisdom i just listen to him when i want to have a good time. hip hop doesnt need to have a conscious message all the time.
im not even gonna debate that. i just dont like rhymesayers or eyedea in general. i prefer nas. but at least you like hiero so you and i do agree on something
Fuuuck! I didn't know Jake One did Rock Co Kane Flow! De La and Doom on the one track always loved that song.

Wayyyyy too many wack appearances. The beats were phenomenal but I wasn't feeling at least 60 percent of the artists.
The instrumental that comes with the full release is a much better CD.
