the reason the live audio is so good is because their amps are behind the stage and tony uses a DI box instead of an amp. Plus they all use in ear monitors instead of the speakers in front of them. That way their stage sound is so minimum that their guy mixing them doesnt have to get louder than the stage. Thats why a lot of live clips are real bass-y. The stage volume is massive so everything else has to be louder.

um. yeah. Good audio I agree, but they are using monitors in the video. The amps were mic'd as all pro live videos are. The other "bass-y" videos were probably recorded from the audience where the crappy camera mic can't handle the bass frequency.
