  • ITS CUTESY R U SINGLE?

  • I agree with the people who inquired about how this shelter deals with rain. Does rain soak into the shelter from the roof? Does it soak in from the ground? It seems to me as if this is an empty pond waiting to fill up with water. I set my tent up on the high ground if possible and if not I dig a trench around the tent so water running downhill can go around it.

A low spot in the earth will fill with water. Does this shelter have a drain? The emphasis seems to be on camouflage.

  • Excellent.

  • If the bed level is the lowest wouldn't the cold air sink int it?

  • makes sense to me. seems air tight except door and flap for fire pit. how many do you think could sleep in this? how would this be different from a dug in, etc. Thanks, by the way, i don't do facebook or myspace, shame, i would like to have seen the picks inside.

  • Are you camping or planning on living in that. That would take to long in any survival incident. Defiantly an overkill.

  • Having no experience with cold climate what so ever, I found it very interesting. As someone else mentioned, 'what a bears'? The last thing I'd want is to return to camp to find a big furry pal moved-in.

  • Best ever kickass man!!!!

  • So how do you keep bears out or should i say deter them in general?

  • I had this wonderful area where the bush's grew in dome patterns, and the tree's leaves accumulated over the years and created a dome on top of the bushs. Over a period of 6-7 years, my friends and I dug out a trench over 5 feet deep and 10 feet wide, hidden under the domed bush's. tumbleweed as a door.

There was a middle area that was completely in the open, great for a hidden garden, and another domed area for storage. Dam rabbits ate my crops =D They bulldozed the area after finding it.

  • You kick ass!

  • very cool!

  • Surely the whole concept about a shelter is to keep you protected by the elements , but ib heavy rain wouldnt you get a muddy shower?

  • That's a B.A. end result. Good job dude.

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • GO IN THERE!!!!!!!!!

  • woulds you be safe from heavy rains?

  • i love it u give me some good ideas

  • wet, cold. more like a root cellar.

  • dont animals ever go in that thing like cyot or fox

  • very nice job

  • selling my account :) great name pm me if u want it

  • @SurvivalQ Selling accounts is illegal.

  • seems like ur gonna be sleeping w/the bugs

  • WIth a flat roof, what happens in heavy rain? What prevents water from percolating down through the debris, and the dirt on top, and getting in the shelter?

  • you are in vermont???me too bro

  • im gonna use this idea if i have to run from the law

  • I'd be concerned about snakes and spiders or a critter making my shelter a home if I made one like this.

  • @hrdknox2000 smoke from the fire should keep most bugs away and you could make a better door if your have snakes in your area. this is a good longterm forest shelter thats blended in with the land well.

  • completly fi---

  • You built this last fall. How did it do over the winter? Any leaks or washouts?

  • still cna't find inside pictures

  • life s so difficult in cold countries.

  • @vidaripollen yes it is friend! and I bet I have a cold winter ahead, I hope I move somewhere warm soon!

  • Be very careful! You need constant ventilation or there will be serious risk of death.

  • thats amazing, but very time consuming

  • Really nice shelter.
