Chrome is a great browser and so is Firefox, but why would this guy recommend IE? IE sucks.

The best thing about Google Chrome is that it's just plain basic. The main different between it and all other browser is how quickly it launches; seriously Firefox takes AGES to launch... There are so many times when I just want to start up a browser and I have to wait ages for it to initialize; not to mention that Firefox sometimes gets these annoying updates and I have to wait for like 10 minutes just to browse the web. OMG.

I've tried Google Chrome and I don't like it. I don't like Microsoft Internet Explorer, Opera, or Apple Safari either, and Netscape has been discontinued (it also sucked). The only web browser I like is Mozilla Firefox. Mozilla Firefox is way better than anything else; I use Firefox 3.0.1 and I have a very large number of Firefox Extensions. Without Firefox Extensions, a browser is useless. I rely on them for everything. They are just as essential as plugins like Flash, Java, Adobe Reader, etc.

So far Chrome doesn't do anything that would make me leave Firefox, but it is still a Beta so I'll wait and see. Chrome does have some nice features, but small advancements over Firefox don't bother me too much.

Chrome does everything Firefox does and more, but most importantly it does it much faster, there is no doubt it is faster at loading web pages than any other web browser except for safari which is about the same, the best part is that it will only get better once they iron out a few bugs which you will obviously get from any BETA program, once they do, Chrome will be my default browser for sure. love how the address bar is also the search bar.....

I'm only an average user, with nowhere near as much knowledge as some of you guys, but browsers are made for 90% of the population like me, not just you 10% with greater tech knowledge.

Until Chrome gets that problem with Flash fixed (and I'm sure they will eventually), IE will remain my default browser for now, and I don't see how IE "has got nothing on Chrome" if Chrome has this glaring fault.

OMG haha, 5/5 to anybody who sees the problem is really flash! Pity they didnt embed technology to do things like image/object rotation which would easily make flash 50% unessecary.. damn percentages are so much fun to make up

I tried Chrome, It's memory consumption is below Firefox and definitely under IE, but he's right the CPU goes higher in Chrome for Flash then in does in Firefox, in my opinion it is the biggest problem for Chrome, as it lags up the browser and makes it completely useless to run Flash videos, flash games and objects/embedded applications. I agree with you, I had the same problems too and went back to Firefox because of it, If they fix the Object/embed stuff they'd be even better.

Chrome runs all tabs and plugins (like flash) in separate processes... which means that when one tab has a runaway flash process, it won't stop the other tabs from functioning. IE8 ain't got nothing on chrome.

I think he is telling the truth. IE8 beta does a very good job on flash. Chrome uses large amount of memory and become slower and slower, at least on my computer. It started out really fast though.

I really wish this guy would let Google know that they wasted their money on all the top researchers and programmers, because it is actually flash...and not java script that is the problem with current browsers. Stupid Google.

IE? Are you kidding me. Maybe if all you do is visit flash sites then this might be worth it, but other then that, no chance. IE8 is so slow. It takes way too long to get to just the simple Google homepage let alone a flash site. I'll take Chrome for its great handling of memory (I haven't closed it since I installed it and I am currently at 36MB of memory). Thanks for your thoughts though. Get Firefox or Chrome.

I find the irony in the title of this video quite amusing. If you watch their own internal video the catchphrase was "taking the chrome out of the chrome". I think it looks mainly unpolished because it's so elegant. But great insight on the flash issue. Flash performance sucks, there's no doubt about that.
