There was an interview with Dave Grohl right around the time of In Your Honor´s release, in which Grohl said he would talk about Kurt Cobain one more time and then never mention him again in an interview. ´Friend of a Friend´ on the acoustic disc was about Cobain, I reckon this one is too? Any thoughts?

I couldn't believe back in 2005 they didn't use this one as follow up single to Best of You... and songs like the mediocre No Way Back or DOA made it to a single... this is so catchy and powerful, love the vocal production in the chorus, it was because of this song (blew me away) that i bought in your honor, and of course bc of best of you... oh just imagine what would have happened if they released it as a single

This definitely should've been a single. One of their catchiest ever songs, and I love the vocal interplay with Dave, Chris, and Taylor, which I wish we'd get more often (we sort of do on Word Forward). It's just strange how some great songs never end up as singles.

Agree. Seems like they've recorded the obligatory radio-single for each of the last few albums, songs that hardly sound like they came from the same band. You really need to listen to the full albums to know this band. My friends don't get it, because all they know are songs like 'Learn To Fly', and 'Times Like These', etc. Gimme 'Hey, Johnny Park!' and 'Floaty' anyday..
