@nik12937 Without recording for sure. But with recording, its got nothing to do with the CPU usage really, its your read and write. Your writing several gigabytes in just a minute or two, and your game is also trying to read from the hard disk. Even with raid 0 and 10'000rpm thats going to hurt.

However, you can't have performance close to a gtx 480 with a gts 450.
Benchmarks say you'll get a average fps of 17. You have an overclocked version ok, but no 30+ fps. Unless you are in a cave maybe.

1920x1200=2304000 pixels >>> 1440x900=1296000 not too different visually, but there is a lot more pixels to be rendered
second: 5670 does support dx11, anything HD5xxxx or GTX 4xx or later supports directx
third: 8xaa does not have a very large hit on 3 GTX 280s, usually around 30% max
but ofc, i doubt a 5670 could do 8xaa let alone 4x @ 800x600

Nice, for 2008 I bet that cost a hec of a lot. Especially in Australia where like us in UK you get ripped off for prices. Can't wait to try out my rig on Crysis, will probably buy the game on the weekend.

I can tell u that no matter how much you stick in it has limits, first there is OS limits and afterthen is game limits. I can asure you that this ridiculous game runs the same one 4GB as on 8GB, maybe even faster because of faster refresh rate (hence bottleneck vs amount of data). I know well why I don't consider to step off XP. I prefer just fallowing cpus only upwardzzz, u do whatever u think helps u in your work. Doe?

Because there is no point in 8Gb? Maybe now people are already saying it's better, but DDR3 was hella expensive back then and 2Gb was normal, 4Gb was much.

ummmmm actually no you wont get 80+fps you would get about 40-50 frames with out fraps and the 5970 gets 50+ in high dense graffic areas

@HuangQiaoqiao with a quad core cpu, fraps should have absolutely no effect on fps at all, crysis doesnt even use 4 cores so fraps has plenty of headroom. a 5970 easily beats the old gtx 200 series, get over it. gtx 300 series is a different story

@nik12937 Without recording for sure. But with recording, its got nothing to do with the CPU usage really, its your read and write. Your writing several gigabytes in just a minute or two, and your game is also trying to read from the hard disk. Even with raid 0 and 10'000rpm thats going to hurt.
