This is gorgeous. The first shot of the kids is phenomenal. I didn't know the 50mm 1.8 could deliver these kinds of results on the 5dll. I might have to use mine more often : ).
it might have to do with the shutter speed of each frame in the video, when you shoot video at 30fps and each frame is 1/30 second long then you have very smooth transition from frame to frame, when you shoot at 30fps at 1/1000 second then you get very jittery motion like in the d-day sequence of saving private ryan.

cuz, I'm also owner of 5d mkii and I shoot with 8gb 300mb flash card ,, but my scene doesn't look smooth like yours....
