  • @katiejillmarie Oh, mother of the house - let me in. Kaladū. Dressed in masks they came by cart. Kaladū. Take awl, take heckle. Kaladū. In the crowd of masked people they are raves folk. I will not steal awl, I will not steal needle. Kaladū. I will steal heckle as I need that. Kaladū. As that helps hackle heads of the children. Kaladū.

  • @katiejillmarie heres the rest wich i couldn't fir into my reply to xkaoruhiachiinx

family choir a kaladu kaladubright are the lights and a bright is the season a kaladu kaladu christ was a born and a that is the reason a kaladu kaladu

there is "kaladu kalady" in between each verse, i just ran out of space so i didn't write them in

  • @lemony1213 In this version there are no christianty involved, so you are wrong - you can't just find translation by "kaladu" as it is included in many song lyrics.

  • @edza21 o haha i cud see how you would think that but my choir was actually doin this piece (the same version as done here) and so i had the complete score right in front of me, so no, i am not wrong. we are not a church choir.

And what made you think i looked it up online.

  • @lemony1213 I have also performed this (BTW it needs to be a lot faster) and have score too. I speak native Latvian and I am surely not wrong translating lyrics as "Oh, mother of the house - let me in. Kaladū."

  • @edza21 it is entirely possible that there are to different versions of the same piece. please don't tell people that they are completely wrong until you know for a fact they are . who wrote the version you have?

Yes i agree this needs to be significantly faster.

If you speak native Latvian than i expect that you can correctly translate, but this recording is not very good. is it possible you miss heard?

there are probably different versions. I'd be interested to no what you used

  • I'm sorry, I don't :( Maybe you can try a translator to get a basic meaning and then work it to make sense? Or maybe there's an actual site with the translation?

  • @xKaoruHitachiinx the translation would be like so:

bambadi etc. rasting a duck and a happily humming-a kaladu kaladu roasting a duck and-a christmas is coming-a kaladu kaladu mixing a punch with a generous measure mixing a punch with a cup full of pleasure chopping a tree when the woods are a dimming propping it up and trimming with pleasure slipping away with the gifts and a wrappinga kids wanna look and the puupies a yapping a sitting around with a log aon the fire a singing along with the...
