@blessedcorey - It's a fake spin....John Blackwell does it a lot. Jojo Mayer and Sonny Emory use in their solos. If you want to learn how it's done.....Look for a book called Spinlogy. This book breaks it down so even I got.....but there are a lot of other twirling techniques discussed in the book.....good luck and make a vid of your stick twirling for us when you get it down.
