  • I wear wig for long time but six month ago I chop my hair in that way it grow to equal length. now in the back of head my hair still short and I don't want to cut it any more. what treatment do you recomment for this problem? I order jaimaca black castor oil and emu oil. Do you try it or do you know anything about it? Recommendation will be very appreciate.

  • Try HairFinity hair vitamins! You will be amazed with how fast you hair grows! Also, look up this e-book called "Grow it Long" by Donna Hanover. You will be so very grateful and all of the myths about afro hair will be busted! You have got to look into these! It will truely change your hair forever!

  • I am so in!! I have never had even shoulder length hair before and I am now convinced that it was due to relaxing. I am now 1 month post BC and intending to grow my hair as long as possible!

  • im joining you. have relaxed hair so wish me luck. i wear wig to and keep my hair wrap and relaxed every 6 to 8 weeks. i use aphogee products.

  • I have a twa and just want some length so I can so some twist uts and roller sets so I am going to grow my hair right along with you!

  • I'm glad that you realize that that old BS saying that black woman can't grow their hair long is a myth. Truth is. most black women don't take proper care of their hair. But with proper care and the right products, you can grow your hair as long as you want it to be. Good Luck! By the way I Love your accent!

  • Hey girl whats up, so glad that I found someone on you tube that wnats to do a growth challenge with natural hair, I went natural a little over a year ago and my hair reaches a touch past my collar bone, Ive been braiding my hair for almost a year and will keep braiding it for about another year, I def wanna join your challenge, we can do it ! best of luck, ttyl

  • it'll be apl but not in 9 months, my hair was ur length when i went natural n my hair is now a little past my shoulders nottttt even close to armpit length (i wish lol)

and its been exactley 11 months it grew real good but it'll take some time so dont be discouraged

i support you and your beautiful hair 100 % good luck on your journey

  • GIRL! let me tell u! I have been searching ALL OVER youtube to find somebody(other than 1 other woman) who want to go natural without the big chop! I am MORE THAN excited that I found your channel lol...I'm subscribing to it RIGHT NOW! lol

  • Love your accent!

  • Oh yeah, it's extremely possible to grow natural hair super long. I've seen more of that on YouTube than anywhere else. Seems like it grows faster when it's unrelaxed - at least that's what I see on here.

  • Im in! Im using megatek at the mo mixed with jojoba oil and pepper mint three times a week and its working for me. With massages also.

  • how did you get your hair to look like that ? its beautiful .

  • count me in ma!! Im down for growing my hair. Im transitioning since nov 2008. I havent had the guts ti to the bc..but i trim an inch of the processed hair off every month

  • thats basically what i did theres no need for a bc unless you cant take it anymore!

  • Girl I am with you 100%. I just recently decided to go natural and the main reason is because my hair doesn't seem to want to go past my shoulders and I want to see it past my bra line a year. I believe that going natural and stopping the use of heat is really going to help my hair grow like I want it to as well as make it much more healthy. Keep us all updated.

  • I'm with ya!!!!

  • yes we can!!! let's do this girl!!!

  • It's a wonderful thing when I see so many young women wearing their hair in it's natural state. Once you have your routine set, styling natural hair takes no longer than permed hair. Plus you never have to worry about the rain again. I join you in your hair growth challenge.

  • Hi,

Your hair looks healthy! My hair started VERY short (less than a centimeter). How long was yours after your BC?

  • I didnr big chop, i just kept trimming regularlt till there was no relaxer left

  • OMG!!!! I am transitioning!! I am not sure how long it is.. maybe like an inch r two! I still have not done the BC yet!! (Very scary!!) Aug 2009 would be a year for me!

Keep me posted Please! Great Channel!

  • You are a very pretty young lady and I love the accent. And yes, black women can grow long hair without being MIXED...We simply must learn to take care of our hair.(Which can be a challenge at times--but it's well worth it) Our hair is just as good as anyone else...if not better!

  • Oh yeah girl, IT IS ON! I am down for the challenge. I just did the big chop on May 3, 2009 and would like to see it down to shoulder length by next year. Right now I'm just above neck length in the back and at my eybrows in the front. Let's do this!

  • I'm on it...I just subscribed! im on fotki too!

  • i just Bc'd so its on! my hair will be near my bra by next year of may 2010!

  • Awesome video and channel. You got a new subscriber! 5*

  • YAY a fellow brit! I love your style and your hair. Im transitioning atm n i wanna go a full year. Jus a lil question...wen you were transitioning did u find that all your hair grew evenly? I've found so far that the back grows a lot faster. Its kinda frustratin coz if it was all the length of the back i'd big chop now. But im still stayin positive. How did u find your transition?
