  • Ronnie would've fired 'em all...including his own brother for playing the song this fast...geez...totally loses the groove. Maybe they had a bus to catch.

  • @slippery396 You may want to read the description ? lol

  • This version has a harder edge than the original but is still cool. Still i prefer the original though..

  • WWHY DO THEY NOT BRING THE MAN ED KING BACK,

HE BLOWS THAT DUDE ON THE START AWAY,

HE WROTE SWAMP MUSIC, MR STRAT DUDE IS PLAYING THIS GREAT SONG

    LIKE A COVER/

  • My favorite post 1977 lineup...........I woulda liked to have seen them take the reigns off of Hughie and let him loose a little more though. Great band.

  • May I get killed if I say that I still prefeer Johnny instead of Ronnie?

  • Awesome!!!!!

  • It is similar voice to ronnie's, is Artimus drumming

  • Big, Big Skynryd Fan here. 50 years old, and I Loved them to death. However, when I hear Ronnies Brother Sing, I get the feeling that he sucks. His voice is not that good. Unlike Greg Allman, or other Southern Rockers whos voices matured, and always went with the flow. I just feel Johnny Van Zandts not really into it. More like a Vegas Performer..sort of like the way David lee Roth went went him, and Eddie parted in 84..am I the only one?

  • @phallystorm Sorry Phallystorm that u feel that way,u only hav a cople of yrs on me,When I first heard Skynyrd with Johnny it blew me away, all be,it was around 1986,I thought he sounded close to Ronnie.I was [to me coming from Australia] fortunate enough to see them in Tulsa in 2000 and I also thought they were very good, wood have loved to have seen the second or third line up of the band but unfortunatly the plane crash happened at about the 3rd or 4th line up of the band. Not the Original membs

  • @phallystorm - I hear ya broski , I'm 49 and feel the same . Never will forget I was takin' a driver's ed. class when the news came over KSHE-95 that the plane went down . JVZ is mailin' it in for a paycheck .He's got no where near Ronnie's pipes - a cheap imitation . Also went to last summer's VH concert w/ DLR back in front ... same thing . You can never go back . " Wolfie " damn sure aint no Michael Anthony - fat little bastard . Valarie should put her little Porky Pig on Nutra-system .

  • Thats Funny Brother. I am laughing over here. Valerie should get him into proper nutrition.(Wolfie) I miss the OId VH, Hell, I would even like to hear Sammy back with them, but it ain't Happening! Whatever happened to the Joe Satriani project with Michael Anthony? Stay Tuned>>> Rock On, and remember , LONG LIVE SKYNRYD!!!

  • @phallystorm Nah, i he definitely cares, you can tell in my opinion by his performances, and interviews that he truly cars about the band, and gives it his all.

His voice is different then ronnies, his is a bit raspier, and i think ronnies was a bit smoother. I think ronnie was a better singer, but johnnie does a pretty damn good job.

  • just aint the same.....

  • you heard for yourself-originally from florida[SKYNYRD]- theres nothing like going out to the swamps to see the gators,i know

  • I'd rather drink your Muddy water, sleep down in a hollow log, ...

  • Johnny does an excellent job :)

  • Lynyrd Skynyrd is the shit!!! xD

  • wow! i've just heard of this song and it rocks man! awesome!

  • I know only one man that can play this so well. His name is Hughie Thommoson
