its alright for them to point guns at our people and terrorize our kids...but if we did it back...were being disgraceful..maybe theyv had enough of the bullying tatics used by the police and armed defenders squad..if they terrorized ur family...ud be angry too.. but i also agree that maybe the whole one nation buz is abit radical..how are they meant to live in one nation within new zealand..im maniapoto.. its kind of time 2 molve on with time aint it tuhoe..
You still making dumb comments on here ? Its actually armed offenders squad. Thats why its called AOS not ADS....shows you how little you know really....
No one has said they were training for terrorism. They were not charged with that and none of the arrestees amitted that was what they were doing.
However if you singed an agreement and the other party did not keep their side of the bargain ie the treaty of waitangi, and then forced you to obey their laws and locked you up or shot you for disobeying..Is armed conflict by the other party terrorism?
The Tuhoe didn't sign the Treaty. (The way I hear it, the government representatives were too scared to approach them at the time). Therefore they think they're under no obligation to live peacefully with the rest of the inhabitants of New Zealand, which is why they're so uncooperative today. While I don't like the way Maori were treated by the Government 150 years ago, I don't think it gives them freedom to be as anti-social as they like now...
True they did not sign the treaty but that does not change the fact that they are supposedly still bound by it.
Tuhoe antisocial? How many tuhoe do you know? From that comment I would bet none. Tuhoe have no issue with you, only your govt. You get to know tuhoe and they will introdue you to a world you did not even know existed. But little chance of that aye?
I apologise if I sounded like I was generalising, it wasn't intentional... I was referring to the Tuhoe who we've all seen in the media in recent weeks, marching around the country in leather jackets, balaclavas, etc, screaming abuse, spitting on people, and getting physical. Whether its for a good cause or not, I think that kind of behaviour is anti-social and unacceptable in anyone's culture, including Tuhoe.
I'm not sure if I know any Tuhoe personally, but most NZers would say the same, I'm sure. I'm well aware that the Tuhoe's issue is with the government, not the general public, but guess who is most intimidated by the activists, in reality? I agree, most NZers would learn a lot by seeing the world from a Tuhoe perspective, myself included. It's just very difficult to think positive, when the only aspect of Tuhoe culture most of us see is the intimidating protesters...
It's fine if they disagree with government policy and see them as the enemy, I have issues with some government policies myself. But I don't try solve my issues with violence, like they are apaprently training doing
Training to do, I mean, hit the "Post Comment" button by accident. I'm not at all scared of bearded guys in caves, but I am scared of moko-ed guys with shotguns and molotovs who think they have the right to use them on people they don't like.
I don't think anyone is trying to say the Maori people are terrorists. That would be like saying "Muslims are terrorists". It will be interesting to see what Tame Iti and his buddies have been up to, though. I wish they would hurry up and charge them with whatever it is they've allegedly done.

what if their only crime was disagrement with government policy
what if Tuhoe weren't legally obliged to obey new zealand law, like they say and we see on tele?
what if u were charged and sent 2 a closed courtroom full of the people u see as the enemy.
or r u really scared of guyz with beards who hide in caves?
