Funny, I did something similar doing the same thing, putting suspension into a drift car, lol. I was torquing a bolt that wouldnt budge, my dad added his weight and it gave. Smashed my pinky between the socket wrench and the brake caliper.
Anyway, what I did was sterilize a sewing needle, and push it in JUST UNDERNEATH the nail. Didn't feel a damn thing and relief was instant. For those of you without fancy tools, a needle UNDER the nail will work

that's really dangerous, you're lucky it didn't get infected. Best thing to do is use a paper clip and heat it in a flame til its red hot and quickly poke it through the nail.

Lets just say the pain was somthing i couldnt handle and my father heated up a drill bit.. i was scared when the actual bit went through the nail i jumped and the bit went in and stuck under the skin it hurt for a second but after that the pressure under the nail felt so much better
I have just cut my "new" finger nail few days ago... after the uneven bit is fully grown out. Good luck with yours... I try to save mine from falling out.. but no luck... New nail just feel a bit weaker than the rest as I haven't been using that finger and that nail for like 1/2 year!
haha, I got given that drill thingy few years back from a friend, and never used it. At least I found a suitable "job" for it. LOL. The finger is heaps better now... no more soreness.. unless I press the nail with a bit of pressure.

Yes, pretty fresh... about 18 hours after the accident. And yeh, still bleeding after that. The drill thing is taper, so can never push in too much.. :)
