  • Not a criticism, Onion, only a suggestion. If I can learn how to upload vids, I'll try to get some shots of the snakes around here. As I have said, I've seen four -- Taiwan Krait, Flower Snake (Natrix stolata), Blind Snake (Typhlops braminus -- I thought it was a worm!) and maybe a Beauty Snake -- all without even trying. We also have plenty of cobras around here.

  • One thing I've learned about the Lycodon ruhstrati ruhstrati (aka White Plum Blossom Snake or Formosa Wolf Snake) is that the tail twitching is a distraction mechanism, i.e. "bite my tail, and not the important bits". This behavior is found in other snakes as well, but I thought it was interesting nonetheless.

  • Sorry I was so quiet when I found that little guy, although at the time I never thought I'd be posting the video for public consumption and honestly had no idea what species of snake it even was. I'll try to provide more info in future videos when I can!

  • Thank you for the videos. Can you tell us a little about each species as you shoot?
