@MrZr440 It's probably just water vapor. I've personally ridden the 600 and 800 E-TEC sleds and have seen no smoke and my clothes did not smell of exhaust after a two hour ride. If I had money to throw away I would buy one in a heartbeat.
@MrZr440 Yes, something I always loved about two-strokes was the sweet smell of it - especially when running race gas with Amsoil mixed in. Unfortunately it's what the EPA wants nothing of and is one of the reasons why there are very few two-strokes in production now.
Wow!! Roughly 300 clicks a tank of fuel and roughly 1700 km's to 4 litter jug of oil! That is simply awsome for long journeys were your miles away from the nearest town or gas station. Especialy for traveling any part of the all famous RAP Tour in Ontario Canada "Round Algonquin Park". My old '94 doesn do so well up there. Old technology and a fuel quzler! Id love to own a Brand NEW Ski-Doo MXZ to retire my old one!!!
its interesting how archaic snowmobile engine tech has been, and now this skidoo is the most advanced engine on the market. Rave has been around in dirtbikes (or something similar) since the mid-late 80's. But this etec is sweet, I want one!
@1:19 it looks like the engine is using a standard journal bearing. Is this for real or just a shitty animation? That would be pretty insane.
@DontFlag I think the technology they are really bragging about is direct injection and the fact that it's virtually smokeless with no smell and can go hundreds of mile on a quart of oil. That's quite a difference from the 80's.
Put something like this in the Aprilia RS125 please!!!!!!!!!!!! It's such a shit that Rs4 125 :(((((((((((

@ntody True, but IMO no smoke is no fun. I love the smell of two stroke smoke, infact thats one of the things I love most about sleds.
