Wow I've road both this is a 490 2 stroke!!!! it would take a 700ish 4 stroke to keep up or beat this but the 2 4 debait is over the larger cc 4 stroke are way faster My old cr 250 was sick fast but My new 450 4stroke is scary and can beet the pants off a 350 banshee all day!!!! 2 strokes will always be mean but the new 4 strokes are nasty machines!!!!!

The YZ has several Mods like custom exhaust, 48mm Lectron carburator, CR500R Vforce reed Valve, ported cylinder, Oversize piston, Machined crank, Reduced rear sprocket, and a lot of weight shaved off in every area possible. Also a 115 rider is key to make this YZ490 go on down the track.
nice biek man i just got a 1979 rm400 with a 78 engine cant wait to bore it out n port it a lil and get a different reeds for it n change up my jets.my other budy has a cr480 with a longer conecting rode and a 1 inch adapter plate under the cylender plus its bored racing reeds.bent my work boots in half and it had a steel plate in my boot
Running on VP Racing fuel and several mods. No nitrous yet. Diego the rider takes off in second gear on reduced sprockets and he is shifting into 3rd gear half way down the track. I will be posting some videos soon of a CR500 I've put together so suscribe to Thanks for looking Tom

@groshbass wow, what a stupid comment, which is why 4-strokes have more torque...which means faster accelerations, and stronger stokers, which means the motor will last when you have it balls out. The only thing your 2-stroke is good for is blowin smoke and make to much noise. get out of here kid.

are u running race fuel or methanol? your other vidieo say its a 1985 motor. is it a 4 or 5 speed?

yamaha 450 only made 38 HP and roughly 36 TQ
