Look at Country Joe and the crowd in this video compared to the video from woodstock. Everyone looks so clean cut and non radical today. Where's the long hair? The peace signs? No one is dancing. No one is high. Times sure have changed.
@b26marauderpilot I was alive in the sixties and if you looked around you, anywhere, you would see people with long hair that were high. It's a different time that we live in today, not necessarily a bad thing. My appreciation for Country Joe, his longevity, and the fact that he survived the drugs and insanity of his era, and can sing like he did in 1969 at over 60 years old, he continues to be legendary. Thank you for your comment.
I hear ya! I was thinking the same thing when I was watching him. If we do not learn from our mitakes, then we are doomed to repeat them. Gov't has a different agenda.

It was a better song when it was released in 1967 and at Woodstock in '69, of course.

schade ... hätte er es auf den Irak-Krieg umgeschrieben, wäre es genial gewesen ... so ist es nur eine Wiederholung eines Erfolges ... :-(((

He should change the lyrics from Vietnam to Afghanistan, and commie to terrorist--we're in the same situation today as we were then.
