  • fake but still awesome

  • I'd like to see you light up the DuBsteP Christmas house.

  • He is an artist? Amateur? Know whether this is true. Please tell us who know him

  • Wow, thats awesome great *lol*

  • wow this guy had a copyrite claim on the parody video "DUCKY" a parody of "Sexy and i know it" -_____-

why would u do that, ducky was obviously an original video..

  • THIS GUY GOT RID OF JARED MILTON

  • Comment removed

  • lol You can't Power anything with static electiricity

  • your making me want to try this so badly but i know its fake XD

  • At 1:20 they show his feet and its not even making contact with the rolling carpet

  • When nerds and rock collide....

    I LOVE this

  • just because this is fake doesn't mean there wasn't any work put into this video, or that the video isn't cool

  • IT IS FAKE BECAUSE NOBODY USES SUN GLASSES IN A DARK PLACE

  • @elchicopopular

There's only one way to solve this, Mythbusters!

  • @elchicopopular unfortunately, everyone wears sunglasses in dark places nowadays

  • @KingSevault especially when it's for a Ray Ban add

  • Really fake

  • It may not be real in the sense that static electricity isn't the power source as LED's require a certain low voltage while static is usually high. They also require decent current too.

That said, I liked this vid. Really creative and well executed. Maybe he'll recruit some future EE's with this. :-)

  • nice vid

  • to all you people out there shouting fake and rubbish! obviously don't know anything about the dynamics of physics. *Especially kinetic energy* So learn something before you pass judgement about people's intelligence and abilities!

But all the same, an interesting video.

  • Am i the only one that wants to know the name of the song?

  • @Trollfacer I'm right behind ya

  • kool idea, awesome song, yet disappointingly fake

  • lol

  • he forgot to put his feet on the rug most of the time

    but who cares

    this is genius :)

  • Dood, I'm "positively" "shocked"! That was so "electrifying" that I'm too "stunned" to come up with a decent comment! This was just too amazing. You should really "charge" people to see that... I can't even think of anything "negative" to say about that discharge!

  • I know this is fake, but I've seen similar experiments done live with Van de Graaf generators. Tesla experimented with stuff like this 100 years ago.

  • Fake or not, it's entertaining to the geek in ALL of us. *LOL*

  • At first I thought that this video was real but then I noticed the lights that he was grabbing and the way it kept getting switched around.............. Soooooo Effin Fake, but it is pretty cool, especially the beat!

  • I love this video, I just keep coming back to it, LOL. Way to go Jonathan !!!

  • this is just another ray ban ad

  • I think this is obviously fake, the timing of touching the wire is not synchronize at times with the lighting of the board plus notice the hair, it didnt stood up from the build up of the static electricity

  • Lol trolls who say its fake clearly dont know their science >.<

  • the timing of his hand are so late and the background at his back show up earlier before could touch it. and his feet aren't touching the carpet anymore. fake ;\

  • This is so cool! Thanks for the upload.

  • his feet aren't even touching the carpet after a while

  • cool!!.....NOT!!

  • completely not fake first of all you can have more than one wire powering each LED display. and the static electricity builds making the displays easier to light up. TOTALLY EPIC!

  • @cooltubes547 sorry but it is fake like most of the neverhidefilms

  • This is so COOL ! and He is my Brother, Jonathan Shine !!! Way to go Jonathan !

  • I think the control implemented at the end proves it is true.

    Besides, THAT IS AWESOME!

  • Shocking!

  • why does this have to be fake? you can power lights with static electricity like this

  • Ooh the joys of a DMX soundboard and a bunch of random, non-used-at-all wires. Even the LED he lights up in the beginning he has to squeeze to set off.

Weak, especially since he could have actually done this with fluorescent lights which light up to static electricity, unlike LEDs that need a single direction, fixed voltage, etc.

  • @calciphus agreed

  • Tesla-AWESOME!!!!

  • 40 people don't like static electricity.

  • This is an ad for Ray Ban (see "never hide" metal sign on the floor at the end)

  • @mikahouete see "never hide" in the uploader's username.

  • The awesome final boss of the internet.

  • lol at 1:26 n onwards hes not even touching the spinning carpet :P

  • The Oil companies are trying their best to stop free energy ideas from spreading to common people.

We need to put an end to this corruption ,start generating your own electricity now.

Look for the LT MAGNET MOTOR in youtube video search. Join the Revolution!!

  • who cares if its fake or not ITS AWESOME!

  • freaking beast

  • Shame really, if I had that carpet thing alone I'd go around zapping people until I'd be known as Lightnin' L33tguy...ah, it's not to be.

  • senseless ad !

  • Anyone know the name of the song?

  • @AreWeBros did you find it?

  • What's the Ray-ban model that he uses? Sorry for my english btw.

  • Comment removed

  • Fake???

  • che cagata!

  • ofcourse this is fake

  • i like this music, where does it come from?

  • @LetsGoToTarget The 80's. ELECTRO FTW!!!!!

  • @WarMachine00 actually that's due to electrostatic force due to built up charge (see: coulombs law)

  • you see at 1:21, his feet is no longer in contact with the thing....

  • @killerlitter88

not doubting the probability that this is fake, but with static, he doesnt have to make full contact, the electrons will jump a good distance to his feet, which is why when you put your arm near a balloon your hair will stand up and move toward the balloon without it touching it.

  • this is the coolest thing evar!!

  • No way am I shaking that man's hand without proper grounding.

  • the first lightbulb might have been real. i dont believe the rest was all him.

  • @hotrodZack1948 you can see him squeeze the bulb to turn it on

  • Pay close enough attention to which wires he is grabbing. Especially that first wire he grabs to power the first board. He grabs it again close to :32 seconds in but a different board is powered.

    Certainly fake.

  • @chrysus also it is clearly impossible..

  • @chrysus WOW you're goooooood !!!

HOW on earth did you know ???

I'm truly impressed by your horrendous intelligence, as well as 33 other people :)

  • La Electricidad Estática nunca fue tan divertida, jeje

  • too bad he didn't touch the thing with his feet half of the time...

  • Even if it were possible to generate enough static electricity at a constant voltage to power that display, the friction buildup would burn the socks right off your feet.

Which, not coincidentally is why as soon as the camera pans off his feet, they never again touch the spinning carpet tube. Just a simple folly of the camera man to pan back to the feet not touching the tube.

Still though, very entertaining and well done.

  • Its possibly fake, but not for certain. He's not chanelling enough energy to light all those LEDs, but it's possible he could be energizing relays to flick the light sequences on/off. Either way, it's entertaining. Nice job.

  • it's fake i think you can't touch cables the homer simpson way! lol

  • ok i am in love!

  • GREAT IDEA but THE MUSIC is ANNOYING ....sorry! : )

  • rofl...

i think its possible to do a video like that without problems.

All the Lights are LED's and a LED doesn't need more Power to lighten up.

And everyone knows that if u rup u're u#re feet on the ground u can build up a lot of energie.

But the only thing that stands 4 a fake is that, why doesn't he get a shock?

Of u charge u're body with so much Volt, normally it gets out with a little lightning. And not in controlled little ways.

  • Yes people it's fake, and the description is also misleading, but it's a cool concept and I don't think it's meant to be believable.

  • i hate people who say fake with no logical answer to why.

  • @crabheart how about because that's what neverhidefilms does they make seemingly believable but fake videos. most of them are ray ban adds

  • his feet at points in the video weren’t even touching the thing

  • Why does the setup remind me of Dr. Horrible? Hmmm... lol.

  • that wuz tight!!!

  • This is my Big Brother, Jonathan Shine !!!! Go Jonathan !!

  • bored ah?

  • fake! and lame , sorry bro good try

  • Fake

  • nice

  • Could be a fake, but nice idea.

  • Fake

  • This is incredibly cool. im your fan man!

  • Hes a mad fucking genius...

  • Completely fake

    Yet amazingly cool

  • @zukriuchen its not fake the static electricity generated from the spinning of the the thing ywith his soks and and im guesssing conductive shirt and pants let the electricity flow to the circuits

  • @tingyuyan12 yes but the way he was holding the LEDs at the start doesn't make a proper complete circuit

  • @tingyuyan12 But as other people said, he grabs the same wire different times, and it lights different panels.

  • @zukriuchen i just noticed that

  • @tingyuyan12 sorry but thats what the guys @ neverhidefilms do they make fake vids

  • @zukriuchen whats fake about it?

  • @murdaman2 oh god dammit I just answered that to someone else, just search in the comments for yourself

  • @zukriuchen no reason to get mad bro your like an old man

  • @murdaman2 dude I'm not mad

  • me recuerda a Kraftwerk

  • though believin' it's a fake:

    i think it's awesome! :D

i strongly prefer this stuff compared to jackass an similar brainless stuff of bored teenies

  • Pure epic win

  • and how do we know the music/light isnt "pre-recorded"?? i say the music is deffinatly "playback"...

  • @willem01 didn't you see him start the music

  • Fake, but still a cool idea.

  • Dude has /way/ too much free time

  • Shut up and enjoy fuckin' enjoy the video.

  • ok.... but where is the diference of potencial that´s lights up the led when he is holding just one in his left hand?

it´s fake. And also the music is terrible!

  • Brilliant. =)

  • Dude this is awesome!!!

  • Dude, 1985 called. He wants everything you have in this video back, including the special effects and your hair

  • Comment removed

  • faaaaaaaaaaake

  • lol

  • fake,..the lights are not exactly in sync with his hands and later on, he stops touching the carpet wheel.

    The idea is awesome though.

  • @TestSubjectNr9 I agree fully with this, and will add a bit of logic to your already sound theories. The voltages created from simply rubbing your feet on that wheel may well light a single LED, but would never support even half of one of those panels. LED light is efficient, but it still takes a significant amount of power to juice those up. The video was a cool idea though.

  • 20 people were "shocked" by this video !

  • baaaaaad ass!

  • jesus tity fucking christ!

  • Too bad his sperms were all fried while he was doing this :P

  • nice job Never Hide Films! amazing

  • The potential! So awesome.

  • this vid is made of WIN!

  • why should I believe this is real when it is so much easier to fake?

  • crazy

  • Whats this advertising?

  • @opticon12000 It is advertising Ray-Ban Sunglasses.

  • what the name of the song?

  • Viral videos can be fun, but viral ads are just douchebaggery.

  • @Psychlist1972 I think I missed it. What are they advertising?

  • @Nidht Ray-Ban. Didn't catch it right away, but saw @mmshrwd's comment. The last few seconds display the ray-bay slogan. Plus, the obvious use of ray-ban in the poser in the chair.

  • @Psychlist1972 Gotta tell ya, I don't see it. If I have to look that hard, is it still an ad? If by slogan you mean the words "Never Hide" on the ground, that's simply what these video-makers put into every video... Hence NeverHideFilms being their channel name.

  • @Nidht Never Hide Films is Ray Ban's viral ad production house. Go to ray-ban's web site and click "never hide"

  • @Psychlist1972 Well! I stand enlightened. Thanks for clarifying. =)

  • LOL

  • this guy is so entertaining

  • EPIC WIN!!! :D

  • It's a clever idea. Even though static couldn't power those lights, it could set off triggers, but it's just not that well executed, especially for a Ray-Ban ad. "NEVER HIDE" at 1:51.

  • fake or not dat was perrty kewl

  • There are lights that can be powered by static like that, but not that bright or that many.

  • fake and gay

  • @AndarrayaTV troll

  • It becomes obvious at the end - his feet no longer make contact with the wheel.

  • It can't be done. One need at least 500mA for that. He should be fried. The ideea is nice anyway

  • lol =] it's still cool

  • fantastico xD

  • down for fake

  • FAKE

  • awesome and fake, same lights different cable? ...

    0:58 and 1:03

  • @uriei yep, also at 1:10 when the words "rock beat" are lit, he lets go of the wires and the lights remain on just for a second; if it was real that wouldn't happen.

  • @killingpigs you caught it

  • awesome and creative as always neverhide :D

  • what a wonderful prove that we are energy/vibrational beings :))

  • really cool =)

  • cool facarage lol

  • he then touched a metal doorknob and exploded

  • fake?

  • @DeathBElieVER of course
