2nd mvt is played too hurriedly... think it needs to be spread out a bit more, just a tiny tiny bit more. or maybe the american audience do not let her play her 'music' out. The audience must have felt, "whoa, good skill~"

well...yes...and I really don't work hard, at least to me. I also find a lot of people saying I'm a really quick learner, if I try a little, and give a week and I could play any song really good but not like Yoyoma good. so I guess u are right...

I'm sorry, but you're probably not as special as you think you are :D I don't mean to burst your bubble, but I'm an Italian-American and a week is plenty of time to learn a 4-5 minute solo down to every last nuance.

Not necessarily. They may be faster and have higher pitch, but cellos can cover a lot of ground in terms of their role within an orchestra, able to carry some of the bottom end, chords, harmonies, and even some lower melodies. Violins are more suited for lead playing. Neither is really more versatile than the other; they are both instruments and it really depends on the composer's style.

I'm sorry, but while I myself prefer solo performance of the cello over violin, my own personal preferences do not permit such arrogance. The fact is this, like it or not: You are only right in saying "it depends on the composers style," you're right, it does, and composers have collectively chosen to write most melodies for the part of the violin, therefore making it the most versatile. In fact, discard the factor of available works and the viola covers a better audible solo range of either.

Not sure if you picked it up, but I don't have a preference of one over the other; I was speaking with an objective stance because a user before exhibited personal preference.
