If you think your in shape before basic training...not so dudes!!! After a number of days without enough sleep, constantly on the move, PT all day long between blocks of training. Your body learns how to maintain...that's about it. I've seen muscular guys having troubles all the time as basic just gets harder all the time. But, if you have heart you'll survive..good luck.
Lol, i barely remember the shark attack. I was on auto-pilot for the whole thing. The rest of basic was shitty. 1 min to eat, 4 hours of sleep..wake up to front leaning rest, smoked in the rain. being 20 degerees on the field with 40 mph winds. ahh was the best thing i ever did.

Falling asleep during the day is the only difficulty of Sand Hill BCT. Kids talk too much and fall asleep. The first two weeks can't be prepared for properly.

@therobot40 Dude, I just found that out myself. Sometime in the last couple of years they started holding normal basic training there. Probably had to do with the increase in troop strength we had. I imagine with the draw down they'll go back to only 11B OSUT there.

I just joined the army in may and i ship out to fort benning in june for infantry basic training and watching this series has definitely helped me to try and mentally prepare and physically prepare for what is to come

I can not stress enough, PUSHUPS PUSHUPS PUSHUPS... Be ready to have a mind fuck, not just from the drill sergeants, but from all of the dirtbags in your platoon. I wish you the best of luck. If you think your in shape before basic training...not so dudes!!! After a number of days without enough sleep, constantly on the move, PT all day long between blocks of training. Your body learns how to maintain...that's about it. I've seen muscular guys having troubles all the time as basic just gets harder all the time. But, if you have heart you'll survive..good luck.

Lol, i barely remember the shark attack. I was on auto-pilot for the whole thing. The rest of basic was shitty. 1 min to eat, 4 hours of sleep..wake up to front leaning rest, smoked in the rain. being 20 degerees on the field with 40 mph winds. ahh was the best thing i ever did.

@waltme1 They do edit this shit to make them seem calm and helpful. I was in fort. leonard wood and we didnt get 7 min to eat until the end and we sat real close to each other. I heard the drop out rate is insane for infantry then again im not surprise lookin at some of these pussys up here.

lol. Yeah they did all that in four hours, the other eight hours consisted of sitting around, paper work, maybe some additional front leaning rest position. Falling asleep during the day is the only difficulty of Sand Hill BCT. Kids talk too much and fall asleep. The first two weeks can't be prepared for properly.
