This is not THE studio version nor A studio version. It's recorded LIVE at Royal Albert Hall february 24 1969.

It was released on the album: "Jimi In The West" in 1974 - and then again on the 4-CD in 2000.

To bad the video part is screwed up like this - but the audio... OMG!

@quantarditi Yeah, this isn't the studio version... I mean "Wehn I'm sad, When I'm sad she comes to me", he only says When I'm sad in the studio he only says it once. And when he sings "It's alright she said, it's alright" in the studio he sounds more teary. The solo is longer, and the full song is almost a minute longer.

I just want to make a point.First off, this is an incredible performance! However, if i was to upload this with no video and isolate the guitar track (claiming it was myself playing) it would have a thousand dislikes. Strictly because it would appear that my technical prowess and tone do not surpass the original recording. So when you see all of these covers, remember, Jimi was an improvisor and a great creative mind who occasional SCREWED UP LIKE ALL THE REST OF US!
