Playing GT5 is a chore, because the original game was designed to be a sim. Train real drivers to get better, Forza came out as a regular racing game. Gran Turismo is basically like Flight Simulator, it's a simulator. It's made for the racing sim fans, and not casual racing gamers, like Forza.

No offense but I prefer GT5. I grew up with it (psone and ps2 days) and always loved it! It just feels very, very, very realistic and I love the level of maturity the game has. It's a very awesome game (or should I say simulator). I never played forza but I could tell its also very good. I heard it has a in-depth customization (which GT doesnt have). If I had a 360 this of course I'd get this game. Nonetheless I think they're both awesome and I wish this fanboy war would just end! It's annoying.

Yeah man, rewind is unrealistic, you're right. But having damage on 200 cars while having none on 800, thats reality!!! We understand you. And yeah, the cockpit doesn't look great, but the real bad thing is that EVERY CAR has one in Forza. Of course, it would be much more realistic to add 200 cars with cockpits and 800 without, but well this is not GT5 :-) I also hate the unrealistic sound of forza. It just hasn't this realistic falling bottle sound when you bump into another car..

On the 50th lap of a 52 lap race, if you fuck up, its there. You don't have to use it, but its as helpful as hell, and is completely disabled online.

Cockpit view is EXACTLY a 458 italia, look on google images son.

I've just looked, and they are EXACTLY the same, there is not a single difference, except forzas appears brighter in this video.
