Damn...that Hilde player needs to think of better combos besides using her hold attacks. I know I shouldn't talk, but I'm no longer impressed when I fight a Hilde player. Same to Ivy.

It's stupid that (in most tournaments) yoda and algol will be banned, but not hilde. She's pretty much the only character in this game that with 1 combo (that you can almost infinitely string) push you from 1 end of the lvl, to the other side and off.

of course you need to practice against her. there's a way to avoid getting hit by the entire combo... which doesn't happen here (4:25 to 4:28) nor here (5:25 to 5:30), thus the ringouts. even though you can buy yoda/vader, you can't ask for them in a tournament).

Algol is banned for several reasons, and not only the projectiles...

although I agree hilde is a pain in the ass to play against, she's nothing near an equally-trained algol.

You could say all damage is unstable considering you could Impact every single attack. Grapple Breaking is just somewhat easy to do.

You could, be she (imo) has the most moves that have the smallest amount of frames until hit, and range. Very few characters have moves that can span the length of her spear without any joystick / d-pad movement..which is why those charge moves are so hard to counter.

Poor rock players. We just can't get a break. They gave all of rocks good moves to Astaroth. It also doesn't help that his only saving grace can easily defended against. That being his ground throws. He also doesn't have any really great low attacks. Oh well, I'll keep using him anyway. I'm a glutton for punishment.
