I want it to happen, but I don't quite know how a Deus Ex movie would work, the game is all about choices, it'd be interesting to see something worked around that.

Ofcourse telling the story well is the main thing I'd want.

I kind of find it funny people ripping on the choice of the Neo as J.C. the thing is the characters are alike:both being almost emotionless characters when it comes to the roles they play. Of course I guess just because of some of the limited diolog choice for J.C to make him have more feeling in some cases I guess that changes a bit of it. but meh, haters gonna hate. a Deus Ex movie would be good if only it was written and had influence by the people of the Deus Ex team.

Damn the trailer is great, but making such a movie propably wouldn't be a good idea. Any movie would be disappointing in comparison to the experience that playing the game is. Deus Ex partly got its awesomeness from the natural integration of choice and that would of course be lost in a movie.

At least until someone makes a movie where the audience can vote on several choices at certain point...an interactive movie :)

I'd have to disagree with casting Keanu Reeves as JC; simply because he doesn't do any facial expression other than deadpan.

The trailer is fantastic; but you sell it like an action movie. If it was a conspiracy thriller in the style of, say, Salt or Minority Report it would be too awesome for my brain to handle.

Deus Ex needs to be made into a Trilogy. Part 1 is the UNATCO stuff up to the point where you escape to hongkong. Part 2 would be Hongkong and Paris. Part 3 would be Area 51 and the like.

- Mission Impossible helicopter, roof jump and Tom Cruise himself

With all the war that is raging, the terrorist threats everywhere, the advance of science and technolgy, the stronger Aids virus spreading... I firmly believe that this is the right moment to release a Deus Ex film. People have stopped staring at "The Matrix" for a while, but Deus Ex is all but the world and the moment we are living, and with the right production and the right cast this film could be huge.

It shares many themes with Deus Ex, such as secrecy and high state affairs. Also, they are not explosion or technology fetishists, and they never let the effects get in the way of the story. In short, the kind of people Deus Ex needs.

I agree...one of the best. Though to be honest, I prefer the original PC version as opposed to the PS2 vesion. I don't know why, but the PS2 version cut out some key dialogue...I guess some people thought it was too offensive or over the top.
