Hate to tell all you homophobes, but in the 19th century it was common for men to dance together, be physically affectionate in various ways, and sleep in the same bed, but they weren't considered therefore to be gay. The concepts of gay and homosexual weren't bandied about until around the last decade of the 19th century. Before that it was sexual stuff just happened and nobody made a big fuss like now.

@shabaash Before, men were REAL MEN: Before, Wearing skirts (well, lets say kilts that look more like skirts than kilts) used to be MANLY. Now, wearing skirts is called "gay"...Before, there were public baths, REAL MEN bath together without shame and without thinking dirty. Now, even attempting to do that will get you called "gay".

Sometimes, I wish being in those old times. :(

Per Wikipedia this is THE first sound film. The violin is being recorded by that huge cone. But there is a proto-story here. Two guys dancing and what looks like a cop in the last second or two coming into their brave new world.
