im only 16, but i understand the relationship cher had with her audiance, to bad now in days u cant find that anymore. the only music group that can have a relationship like that is country stars, and even that is starting to dwindle, we need more musicians like toby kieth and shania twain i dont like how shania is changing her usic to sound like pop

You got that right.. I had never considered it before.. but.. yes, she had a connection with her audience and we felt like we knew her. Those days (the 70;s) were absolutely wonderful times for Cher fans. She was smokin' hot and she could really sing. I miss those times.

Can you tell me what beautiful, exotic, funny and talented woman "today" has a program on network television? The only woman that might come close to Cher in "ability" to "create" such a exotic persona might be someone like "Jennifer Lopez"-but times were different back in the 70s when the audience and the star had a more focused and loyal relationship to one another without distractions of the internet. It would be great if tv could produce a new show/star that people want to watch weekly.

Cher also created "drama" with her performances. Nowadays everything is "overly" produced hype with like "50" dancers doing overly choreographed moves with the star doing the same. It looks distracting almost as if it's trying to cover up the star's lack of musical ability by selling you not only a half-assed voice/song but their dance moves as well-so you size them up based on a half assed song and the great dance they just did on stage. It's fake! Cher kept focus on the song and her talent.
