Basically, when Rosalia was shot, her blood began to spread on the flowers. The flowers obsorbed her blood and turns into blue flowers. When the butterflies fed on the flowers, they became vectors of the disease, allowing the virus to spread as their scales scatter during migration.

Rosalia was so innocent....Honestly I don't think that CR should have forgiven Sarte. For this case's very reason. Albert is and was a murderer. He murdered those people erased his son's memories and murdered his daughter. Poor Rosalia lost her life and she cried even as a spirit when Naomi solved her case.

I can't help but to feel angry to Albert. He framed his son for the biochemical incident and he killed his daughter. Even though he did that for the sake of others, but if he hadn't killed Rosalia, the virus wouldn't have spread! And for CR-S01 case, I dunno what to say....

I don't know if I said this before, but given that Naomi found a way to extract the antibodies and make antiserum for the Rosalia Virus, would it henceforth become a high-risk way to cure all manners of diseases?

Like, inject the virus, let the virus expel all disease factors, and then inject the antiserum once that's done. That's what happened to Naomi anyway, and it's rare to get hit by Twisted Rosalia (unless you're a PGS victim).

Sartre was researching on how to *use* the virus, not how to *destroy* it (the plan was conceptually sound: using a virus to eliminate all kinds of diseases; it'd be the holy grail of medicine).

We're left to assume that by the time he realized that his research was a complete failure, he was both, already infected, and insane (as a side effect).

So yeah, maybe he didn't the time or sanity to do it.

(Besides, it's easier to create a cure from flowers than blood, I guess...)

Given the proximity of how close to the start of the outbreak this was, I'd be willing to bet "beginning" refers to the start of this accursed outbreak.

Few people were showing signs of it when she was saying it. A short time later... well... you've seen all the videos to this point, right?

Somehow, the butterflies were also immune (maybe it doesn't work on their biology) and they ended up being a carrier. As the butterflies migrated, their scales were shed and likely were accidentally or unknowingly ingested by people who caught the Rosalia Virus.

The Rosalia virus consumed her genetic disease - which in effect wiped it out of existence in her body. However, because of this, the Rosalia virus became stronger, known as the Twisted Rosalia. In the final level, you operate on Naomi and destroy Twisted Rosalia.

@linkbattler The virus itself isn't airbourne, but the vector (butterfly scale) is. Likely, the victims breathed in the falling butterfly scales, which then came in contact with mucous membranes via the respiratory passages.

If you notice in the opening scene, there are butterflies flying throughout the city, and you can see golden dust descending on the people.

My biggest complain with this game is DS( Derek Stilis)' screentime he barely was even mentioned & I think that would be awesome, 2 play as CR-S01 & DS at the sametime & 4 some reason Naomi never did surgery! She even had the healing touch!
